Sancho's — Restaurant in Ponce

We had the pleasure of dining at Sanchos and what a fantastic experience it was! First off, the performance was absolutely amazing and incredibly entertaining—it really added a fun and unique touch to our meal that we’ll never forget. Even though we called with very little notice, they squeezed us in, and we were so grateful for that!

Our server, a black-haired girl with tattoos, was fantastic. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we felt right at home throughout the entire meal. It was clear she truly cared about giving us the best experience possible. The owner also stopped by multiple times to check in on us, making sure everything was perfect—such a thoughtful touch!

To top it off, the dessert—a fried cheesecake—was out of this world. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting! The entire experience was top-notch, and they even sang Happy Birthday to one of our family members, which made the celebration even more special.

Everything that was served to us was either cold or tasted like it was made hours ago or the day before instead of on the spot. Even the rice was cold. We ordered calamari tempura and it had no flavor or crunch. The the main course came the general tso chicken was actually just pan seared chicken with no spice or even oriental flavor. We told them that wasn't the plate we ordered and the waitress said that how the chef makes it, we asked for sweet and sour chicken instead and the she said okay I'll get you orange chicken instead... when the food came back she said that it was the general chicken and that the chef changed it for us. This time the good was actually hot and tasted like it was made on demand instead of warmed up. The service was extremely slow. Our waitresses came to us when we sat down. Took our drink order. Brought our drinks and wanted our order. We had 1 appetizer and 1 sushi roll. When that was done, she dropped it off and never came back. We had to wave her down to take our main dish order, which took at least 40 minutes to cook. During this time, our waitresses never checked to see if we needed more drinks or anything else. We almost got up and walked out. It was frustrating. After our food finally came and we were done, we still had to flag her down as well as one of the cooks had to tell her more than once to help us.
