Starbucks Coffee Company — Restaurant in Ponderay

Not that leaving a review for a major corporation really is going to do much good but Starbucks as a company really has gone downhill. Since when can you not sit in a Starbucks and read a book or get some work done. Welp now you can’t unless you have money for their overpriced mediocre food and drinks. I live out of town and have to get rides into town on someone else’s schedule and so it not necessarily easy for me to go home and waste time before I have to go to work and starbucks was the only place in ponderay a person could do so. I guess Starbucks only welcomes you if you’re rich and won’t stay in their dining area for long. Not everyone can afford to buy something every day or has a car of their own. They market themselves to have anti-discrimination policies but their policies are tailored to keep the lower class out of their business. I had an important webinar that I needed to watch this morning and brought my headphones and everything so it wouldn’t disturb anyone but instead I am going to have to walk around town trying to find somewhere more welcoming and will probably miss it. I almost never go to Starbucks. Last time was summer of 2017 in north vegas, today's date is 1/29/2019. Before that, I'm not even sure. I got a gift card from work so I went to get an iced coffee of some sort. Im not much of a coffee drinker. Everyone there came off very annoyed, and I almost felt like the guy who handed me my drink was bothered and inconvenienced by me sending it back for being wrong( the gal spoke very quickly in the drive through, I must've missed something ). Took quite a long time for a cup of coffee and ice, and I honestly wasnt impressed with it as far as taste goes. I will say, you can tell they at least seem to be using good ingredients in their drinks. Cream was creamy. My review is mostly for the service. I did get my drink, I just felt like the people were annoyed or maybe just abrasive in general. To be fair, I dont think I'd be the best service person if I had a constant source of caffeine to keep myself teetering on the Brink of caffeine...

I think the people here are great. Always had a pleasant interaction with them, but for the life of me, I can't figure out why they can't get a drink right. There have been times when my husband and I have gotten a drink, and it's clearly completely the wrong drink (did they even put espresso in this?). Other days, its a Russian roulette on whether they'll put whipped cream on the beverage, whether it comes with it standard or if I specifically ask. I never know. Its actually a betting game we have going - will they or won't they?? Today, they didn't even get the size right. The main concern is if they are actually giving me the decaf I ask for, because its a medical concern (anyone remember the girl who died from Paneras caffinated lemonade?). I want to love this place. But it's a serious love-hate relationship...
