My wife and I by chance ended up in this spot. What a delicious Italian experience. What really got is was how absolutely fresh everything it is. Everything is made fresh on the spot. They use organic flour and extra-virgin olive oil in the dough, no vegetable oil. And I really wasn’t sure how they did it, but they showed me personally, they have this system for water that mimics the way New York water is. That’s how particular they are on flavor and quality and you can tell immediately at first bite.
We ordered this pineapple ham calzone and a slice of pizza, it was so good we got back in line and ordered another calzone. It comes with some fresh tomato sauce, dipping sauce. Fantastic.
The place is absolutely spotless and clean. The gentleman making the pizzas was super positive vibes, that New York friendliness, and 35 years of experience, making pizza. We actually came to the Steak and Amber restaurant to buy a gift card for a friend, they were closed and we came here and end up buying $150 gift card here instead. We are 100% sure our friend will love this spot.
By the way, they have a little pizzeria where you can buy individual slices and a full-blown pizza restaurant attached that is separate for a more sit down...
Read moreCame at 7pm with our family to sit outside and eat dinner. It took 20 min for us to get served. A few min after the server finally took our order, she came back to say they were out of buffalo chicken so couldn’t make my husband’s sandwich, they were out of cheese pizza so couldn’t get my son a slice of cheese, and since they were out of cheese they wouldn’t make my daughter her slice of Hawaiian. This is prime dining time?!? Why wouldn’t they just make a cheese pizza? Our server had no idea what was on the menu, couldn’t answer any of our questions, and essentially invited us to leave. It was the most bizarre, non-customer centric, experience I’ve ever had. Having been a server for several years, I give lots of grace so this really baffles me. If I were the owner, I...
Read moreDefinitely the closest to NY pizza next to Ruffino’s in the area. Slices were very tasty and good body to it in order to fold. Sicilian was also tasty but could have been more fluffy in the dough. I saw the calzone in the showcase - hoping it was for display only because it looked rather flat. Counter girl was very sweet and accommodating. Outside seating. Review is on the slice - we will be back. It’s the first and only pizzeria on Becker. We have been here for 24 years from Brooklyn - so it’s a delight.
