Hop Life is a really cool spot with great beer. Lovely atmosphere. However, attempting to plan an event here was not a good experience, unfortunately. After emailing with the family member that handles events, I then met with staff in person to discuss details. Upon checking in with said event person to confirm details (she was not present during the meeting), it turns out about half of what we discussed was not feasible. Appears there’s some internal communication issues. Also, there was suddenly a $200/hr fee in addition to the catered food and beverages we were purchasing from Hoplife. When I initially contacted with details of my event, I was told in writing that there was no fee. There should be some form of written price structure for the event space so that customers can choose the right accommodations and “fees” don’t pop up out of nowhere. Not good business, feels shady.
I was still willing to proceed and find a solution that worked for everyone. But, after my emails went unanswered I began to lose faith. I called the personal cell of this person 5 (FIVE) times in a week and received one call back to say “it’s not a good time try me tomorrow”. After two more days of calling and leaving voicemails, I gave up. I emailed to inform staff and said “event person” of why we were choosing to do it elsewhere and about my disappointments. The response was dismissive and didn’t acknowledge the issues at all. At this point we lost literally two months worth of time emailing, meeting and planning, so it was quite a bummer. Luckily, we started planning early and we’re able to find another fantastic local spot. This is an awesome event space and the staff (other than event person) were absolutely phenomenal. So much potential here. I’m rooting for Hop Life to get this aspect together, but at this point would not recommend trying to plan...
Read moreStopped in there last night with some friends and my wife we ordered some of the beer all of us different kinds, I think there was a fire sale on pineapples because all of it was that very sweet very fruit very pineapple taste. To me this was like drinking a cake. Discusting I went for another as I could not finish this just too damn sweet. This was a German lager that they completely missed and filled with more sweet pineapple beer. How embarrassing my friends are from Poland and Japan the one from Japan gave the 1 cup of beer away as it was too damn sweet.going forward I stick too something I know what the heck I'm buying as the prices are up there for each glass. The place would have been awesome but then we are trying to talk and a very amature guitar player comes into set up with lots of treble sounds terrible and not too musically talented. And way too loud for talk . cant think they get very much repeating business.
Update , give another try? Nope, you got my money this time but not the next. I hate rolling dice with those prices to see if I can enjoy it or not, in my party of 4 people 4 out of 4 would not go back can you understand that ? With all the tap beer could you afford to try this try that? I would break my wallet trying to find the ones I would buy . Love the whole idea just cant fund it with so many maybes... and yes the music was terrible as far as the treble I'm a musician I can say this guy...
Read more“An Unforgettable Brewery Experience!”
I recently visited Hop life, and it was hands-down one of the best brewery experiences I’ve ever had! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and vibrant, with a perfect mix of industrial charm and cozy vibes.
The beer selection was incredible—something for everyone, whether you’re into IPAs, stouts, sours, or even creative seasonal brews. I tried their [Signature Beer] and was blown away by the flavor profile. The [description of the beer’s taste, e.g., citrusy, malty, or rich] was perfectly balanced, making it a standout.
The staff were knowledgeable and passionate, happy to share insights about the brewing process and make personalized recommendations. I even got to enjoy a brewery tour, where they showcased their state-of-the-art equipment and dedication to quality.
Pairing the beers with their [mention food options, if any, like pretzels or food trucks] made the experience even better.
I’ll definitely be back and can’t recommend hop life enough to anyone who loves craft beer or just wants a fun, relaxed outing. Cheers to great beer and even better vibes! 🍺
