Giovanni's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Porterville

If I could give this place a negative 10 stars, I would. We booked 5 tables for our daughter's birthday party 3 weeks before the party. We paid the non refundable deposit when we booked it. When we get there, we pay the remainder of the balance and walked over to the tables they told us were for us. When we sat our stuff down to start decorating the tables, the party next to us started saying that was their table. We looked on the place card, and sure enough, it said it was for them. We went to the cashier to find out what was going on. The owner told us to wait at the table. She took forever to come over and explain what was going on. Well, they had double booked that table. So the owner told the other party that they were losing the tables and told us to use it. She was extremely rude and acted like it was our fault there had been a mistake made by them. She said we should be glad they were accommodating us! We felt really bad about the other party losing what they paid for, but the place was packed and there was nowhere else for us to go. What is really sad, the owner didn't even offer them a discount for the mistake they made. Neither party was given an apology either. If you are considering this place for an event, please reconsider! I will never use this...

Imagine your self in the bad area of Los Angeles, you find a Chucky cheese and walk into it. This place is worst then that. nothing here works, from the games that are old and never changed or fixed to the pizza that is worst then little Cesar's . Everything is over priced, everything is dirty and it seems like the staff doesn't care . Reading all that you would think the price is gonna be fair, trust me it's far from that . A salad is the only thing that is just ok but seriously who can ruin a salad. They some how even manage to make beer on tap taste old. The only reason I ever come here is obligations, people keep doing birthday parties here cause of the lack of options and we are forced to show up here because of that. I always wonder who will contact Disney and tell them they are ripping off their cartoons. Stay away from this place. Nothing good is here .drive 30 min to the nearest...

We enjoyed it but here is some constructive criticism to help improve experience: *Prices were a little higher then most places I've been to, especially on the wings they were expensive & we've been to lots of pizza places. *Beer needs better selections was limited on makers of beer *Atmosphere could use a juke box so guest can play music while kids play games & bigger seating tables for large PARTIES Food Pizza was ok but they could use a salad bar *Service could use some smiles & more inviting personalities to make you feel welcomed. *Arcade kids loved the options but the prizes could be better & could give the kids more value for the tickets instead of mostly 1 or 5 cent candies at least give them better prizes & tickets more value considering families spend a good amount of money to eat &...
