As a family, we’ve been going to Amalfis for over 40 years. My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner there in 1994. We also travel 30 minutes to Amalfi’s for a take out pizza. It’s with heavy heart to say I’ll probably never be back. On Saturday night, six of us went to Amalfi’s to celebrate a 27th birthday. We waited in the bar for all to arrive. With one person in the bar, it took at least 10 minutes To be waited on. After all had arrived, we were shown a table. It took for ever to be waited on and get drinks. I looked around and saw that nobody was in the bar and numerous tables were empty in the restaurant (on a Saturday night). That should have been the first clue. It seemed we waited a long time before we ordered, and again waited a long time for the first meal to arrive. It was a pizza that was burned on top and burned black on the bottom. That was immediately sent back. But I was wondering why it was delivered in the first place. Fifteen minutes later the dinners started arriving one or two at a time, with five minutes in between (why?) I received my two meatballs last, after waiting at least five minutes. I cut into the meatball and found it was frozen, really? I sent that back. We eventually received our food, but some of our party were done. The service was very poor. As they replenished our drinks, they left the old ones on the table, and It took for ever to receive our food. Our dirty plates remained on the table until we left. It also seems the drinks were way overpriced as was the food. I truly believe this is a management problem. Ever since the pandemic, I noticed the restaurant slide down, off the scale. I’m not sure, but I believe Amalfi’s was sold around that time.

As someone who grew up going here for pasta for 20 years, my wife and I were a little shocked that it went from a very comfortable family style to a modern less than inviting family restaurant. There is something to be said for updating but I think this went a little too far. The food was okay; certainly not what it used to be. The marinra sauce was a little too watery. We will be back for sure to try it again. Can't say enough good things about the GM!!! Great call on putting her in charge (shorter lady long dark hair). I was glad to hear that the restuarant is still in the family! This is probably the biggest reason we will be back. Specifically because we used to always get served by Deb (Debbie). She always made us feel like family!! The spamoni ice cream is still wonderful and the cake are delicious! The antipasti was also amazing!! Maybe a little tweek to the sauce would make it better or is this even the orginal recipe with fresh ingredients? We will look forward to another try and hopefully see a full dinner option vs ala carte menu.

When I order on line I expected freshly made food! That why I ordered from a restaurant. I’m sick so I wanted some fresh made minestrone soup. My husband picked it up. It came Frozen!! It said it was a tureen. Which to them is 4 cups for $12.00. It’s taken me over 30 minutes to unfreeze and it consists of carrots, onions and white bean, with miniature shell noodles, oh I missed a few pieces of celery throw in, literally!!!! Campbell would have be better option. The entire soap is mushy. So, over priced, misleading and horrible taste. Basically an edible. I will never buy anything from this restaurant.

My experience with Amalfi’s was terrible today. I came here with my parents for dinner. We ordered the Carbonara Penne, Combo Calzone and the Lasagna Classico . I substituted the Alfredo sauce that came with the Carbonara to a pesto sauce and substituted the bacon with chicken. We waited at least an hour before receiving the Carbonara and Calzone. We figured that the lasagna was coming out right behind. We realized after about 15 min had passed with out receiving the lasagna that something was wrong. My mother who ordered the lasagna went up to the counter and asked about it. The Women at the counter realized that she forgot to put the order in. She apologized and proceeded to give her the check. She did not ask if she still wanted her to put the order in or did anything to compensate. There was an additional $10 charge for the Carbonara which was my order because I substituted the sauce and meat. I was not told that there would be an up charge for this. Had I known I would’ve gotten something else.. The ambiance was nice and the food was good but everything else was off. Everything is self served if you sit outside. With the only other option for sitting is at the bar we figured sitting outside was the best bet. We had to get up and walk to a table station that had water, box, napkins, condiments and everything. The cups that were offered were paper Pepsi to go cups. At the end you have to discard your plates and trash at the station. There is basically no waiting service for outside. For this type of restaurant that is on the higher end, I would expect better. My overall experience with Amalfi’s. was not good and with my mother not being able to eat with the family made it worse. I am not sure if I’ll...

So disappointed. We called early and were told "no reservations needed for parties under 10." However, when we arrived, the dining room was full and we were directed outdoors. We were not dressed for outdoors. We sat for 3 minutes discussing whether or not we should leave. I remembered a quality dining experience in the past, so I encouraged my companions to stay.

We were subjected to live music we didn't really enjoy because the sound system was over modulated and the band was too casual about their performance. My sciatic nerve does not enjoy hard picnic table seats, and the party next to us was so drunk they were screeching laughter over the sound of the music. My party couldn't even have a conversation.

We wasted at least 5 minutes trying to figure out if we needed to order through their online app (register your email first? While hungry?) or should we approach the window? We finally approached the window, waited in line, and then a nice fellow explained it was "either, whichever is easier." (Does anyone find that app easier? Maybe if English is your second language...)

So we got our order in, which was cool, but then the desert came first. We laughed about that, ate the desert before the entre. The Sangria I ordered was way too full and I spilled it on my eating surface. At one point a woman in a "Amalfi's family" shirt came and explained that the short staffing means she does better with outdoor seating than indoors. Some of us were seasoned veterans of restaurants and understood this to be a management issue.

I was so disappointed I'll never be back. One problem? Okay. But all of this? Sorry, folks you've lost a...
