Went to get ice cream last week. We got there right before closing and it was not busy. We ordered two of the same exact thing and paid over $18.00. I got my cone and our other cone was forgotten so we mentioned it to the staff. The employee, young extremely tall boy was so rude from the beginning and extremely defensive. They acknowledged our cone was forgotten and as they proceed to offer to make it, we learn they charged us wrong and we actually owed because it was a special waffle cone. It was being told to us in a very rude and confusing way. He was acting like we were jumping down his throat when in fact he was doing that to us. At one point because the service was horrible, we even mentioned about wanting our money back which in turn he says, you’re going to want your money back? Again, super aggressive and rude. When we find out that they charged us wrong because they took the order down wrong and we were being made to feel like it was our fault. We were told we need to get back on line and pay the difference which was absolutely ridiculous at that point. They had made so many mistakes, we should have just been given what we originally asked for. We get back on line which we should not have and paid the measly 81cents we owed. He must of said about three times, this is policy, this is policy… as we were standing there- they also forgot a woman’s second cone and a man’s sprinkles. So the service is absolutely horrible. For all of that to be forgotten on a quiet Tuesday night says something about the employees customer service skills. We used to love Beal’s but will not be back to this location on Veranda street. Now reading the negative comments about the staff treating customers poorly, it all makes sense. The tall kid...
Read moreMy daughter and I both ordered 2 scoops. They gave me only 1 scoop in my dish. It was the exact size and shape of the scoop on the bottom of my daughter's dish and then she had a whole second scoop the same size on top. There was no question that I was missing a scoop. No big deal, mistakes happen. I nicely told the girl that mine was missing a scoop. She said "I'm not the one that got it" and walked off. Another girl eventually came near the window so I told her. She stared at me for 10 full seconds with the dumbest look on her face. Then, she looked around like she had no idea where she was. Then, she went back to what she was doing before. I stayed at the window and didn't say anything. The first girl finally put a scoop in another dish and THREW it on the counter and walked away with so much attitude. They messed up and simply needed to fix it, yet they couldn't comprehend the simple situation and then had a hissy...
Read moreThis was the most unpleasant experience I’ve ever had at an ice cream place. My family interacted with all 3 ladies working this afternoon and each of them was rude. They were out of vanilla soft serve and almost annoyed I even ordered it, then the cashier rolled her eyes and laughed out loud at my grandmother when she asked what was in the whoopie pie ice cream (we just moved here and have no idea). Her response after the laugh was “vanilla ice cream with whoopie pie”. We ordered something else. The total was then $18.50 for 3 single scoops of ice cream (insane) to which all 3 ladies made fun of us for questioning if they had charged us the correct amount. We then sat at a dirty table while the employees sat down on stools inside the service window. The owners either know their employees have zero customer service skills and don’t care or they haven’t bothered to train them. There is no reason to treat customers...
