The Grateful Cup — Restaurant in Portland

My wife and I have been here a handful of times and we keep coming back because the customer service is incredible and the smoothies are consistently delicious. I always get the Raspberry Magnolia and my wife gets the Miracle! We live 45 minutes from The Grateful Cup and whenever we come to Portland for something, we stop here before heading home. The last time we visited, the owner gave us some tips on making good smoothies and we are pumped to try some of the pointers at home… but let’s be real, ours will never taste this good! They really didn't want to serve me. To be specific there is a tall slender hippie gal her "smile" outlasted them all.. Much appreciated i guess..There's two other short fat girls in the back making the drinks one brought my drink up to the counter didn't call my name out didn't wanna make eye contact just sat it and walked off CLEARLY has some underlined racial mental problems I'm sure because i sat there and watched her be so kind to all the anglo customers doing all those things I mentioned above....all I have to say to that is awwwww GET OVER IT it's 2024 you're not used to seeing other races yet hence the mental reference i made. .... people if you want only white customers or you can't stand to serve other races then put a sign up maybe...

If you're in Portland and need a pick-me-up, especially on a cold day, The Grateful Cup is the place to go. The vibe here is warm, inviting, and uplifting—exactly what I needed. Sam, one of the staff members, went above and beyond, even offering to top off my coffee right before I left.

The energy of this place is unmatched, and the genuine kindness of the team makes it stand out. It's rare to find a spot where everything—from the service to the atmosphere—just feels right. I'll definitely be back, no matter the season. Highly recommend...
