Yikes. The person making drinks made each drink, one at a time, even if they came from the same order. You're supposed to lay out all the cups, put in all the syrups, do it step by step based on all the drinks in the order and this person was not doing it that way. Our hot drink was done start to finish before our blended drink was even started. The blended drink was only 3/4 full in the cup so with the lid on, it was more than 2/5ths whip. Took forever to get our drinks. The cashier wasn't offering help to streamline service. Basically, don't expect to get your drink quickly if you stop here, or at least give them a few months to properly train these folks. I am a 70 year old tea drinker who stopped in for a little caffeine kick. Thought I would try one of the coffee options. I just wanted to go basic, maybe with a cocoa side note without a bunch of sugar or cream. Maddie, and Colleen were both enthusiastic about my rookie coffee status and went into coaching mode. They were both great about suggesting options and guided me to the perfect solution for my caffeine kick and I had fun in the process. In two visits, I experienced two botched attempts in making a simple cup of coffee. 'Twas as though the barista ruined my coffee so as to see me write a negative review and thus cause her employer to eventually go out of business. Be sure to bypass this place. And for the record, Portland, MI occupies a coffee desert and the people there have no idea how to rate a legit coffee store. In other words, this place is rated way too high.
