Bite into Maine is a lobster roll concept with a few locations throughout Maine. They specialize in lobster but offer a few other things for those who don't like seafood or are vegetarian such as burgers, caprese sandwiches, pretzels with cheese and even some dessert! We chose this place in particular because they have a lobster flight where you can try three different styles of lobster rolls on one place! The verdict? Delicious! Service is counter service from a food trailer and the atmosphere is great as this location is right next to Allagash Brewing Company which is a popular and well known brewery in Maine. You can get lobster roll and a beer in the same area and enjoy the wonderful space this place has to offer. Just know that you have to be 21+ to access this location because it's located at a brewery and they check your ID before you go inside. Definitely recommend!

As I said, my wife and I decided to share the 6oz flight of lobster rolls which came in half sizes of each. The three types were "Maine" style which had mayo and chives, "Connecticut" style, which was just lobster and butter, and "Picnic" style which had coleslaw, butter and celery salt. We also ordered two pretzels with beer cheese and two Maine Root Co. sodas.

To start, when we ordered our lobster rolls, they were met with plenty of drawn butter poured overtop before we got it on our hands. This was great. The lady handing me the food says some people freak out over getting too much butter because of how they do things there so if you're not one to have lots of butter on your rolls, ask for it on the side. There was a good amount of lobster in each roll and they were all really good. My favorite has probably got to be Connecticut style. You just can't beat the taste of fresh lobster meat, butter and a toasted bun. My second favorite was Maine style. I really enjoyed the mayo mixed in with the chives on top. It gave a more fresher taste with a creamier texture to the lobster but because of the mayo it kind of masks the lobster flavor, but still great nonetheless. The least favorite was the Picnic style roll. Although different and unique, the coleslaw was just off. It was a nice crunch factor to the roll and the celery salt on top was a nice touch but I feel as though the coleslaw could have been better.

The pretzels were good and nice and big. They offer one for $5 or two for $9. I don't believe they make these as they were in a bag on the counter. The only thing I would say about these is that the beer cheese that comes with two is the same amount you get if you order one. I had to buy another side of cheese dip because we ran out after the first pretzel. If you're going to serve two pretzels at least serve double the cheese sauce. There was also a crazy amount of salt on these. We ended up scrapping half of it off onto the plate because there was so much.

Lastly, our drinks were delicious! Maine Root Co soda is really delicious and they know how to make some flavorful drinks. I forgot about this brand for a second because they were actually the choice of soda for Torchys Tacos in Texas and Colorado until they switched to Coke Products... We got the root beer and the blueberry soda and both were awesome.

While you're getting some food from Bite into Maine, you have to get a beer from Allagash. I had a few beers from there and they do a good job.

You really cannot get a better lobster roll. the atmosphere of being right next to allagash with their lights and live music and then ordering from an old trailer is fantastic!

Then the lobster roll comes out and it’s phenomenal. We ordered 6 oz which of course is more expensive but soooo worth it! We had 3 large guys in our group and they didn’t feel hungry after eating this roll. Highly recommend trying a flight as well. I liked the mayo and chives for interesting flavors, the slaw/picnic one is a little too sweet with the slaw for me. Of course the original which they call Connecticut I believe is the best. Butter, some lemon, and a delicious toasted bun. You really can’t beat it.

The bun itself could have a whole review for how much it adds to the overall deliciousness of the lobster roll. We also got potato salad as a side which I would recommend. It’s made with real potatoes you can see wedges in the salad and is reasonably priced. A little on the sweet side instead of mustardy but still very good.

I would literally eat here everyday if I could! Alas I will resign myself to coming as often as I can!

I love this place! No frills lobster roll. I enjoyed the warm butter lobster roll so much that I came here twice! Although Allagash brewery did not have outdoor seating (where this lobster roll truck is located), there were two other breweries nearby. We were able to bring our food to the brewery across the street. They also have a picnic table next to their truck that is on a first comes first serves bases. I highly recommend getting the larger size (I forgot the oz) with the warm butter on the side to pour in later if you did not secure the table next to it or if you're not planning on eating it in your car. The lobster meat is tender and sweet. Most importantly, they do not hold back with the lobster meat! It was reasonably priced and it keeps me dreaming for more! If you visit Portland, make sure you stop by to any of their trucks! I'm sure the quality and service are...

A lobster roll in the summer next to the crisp Atlantic Ocean air☀️🦞 is there anything more iconic as far as New England meals go? Most likely not. In the quest to find the best lobster rolls in NE, we stumbled upon this place. Of course being located in Maine (as is their namesake) there is a lot of reputation to live up to, one that MA and NH seem to not be burdened with. Anywho, you can skip any other state. Head straight to Maine and any of their 3 locations where they are serving up the BEST lobster rolls hands down. It was quite a drive from North Boston but it was easily worth it! The flight does not disappoint and the quality was very consistent throughout all 3 locations. 10/10 will definitely be visiting again 👌🏾
