Coffee Wizards — Restaurant in Post

AMAZING! We were traveling back to Tennessee when we came across this mom and pops coffee place, and let me tell you, it was worth the stop! We were greeted immediately upon walking in the door with a sweet, friendly, knowledgeable and cheery young man. He was so friendly and seemed to really enjoy his job. The, I'm assuming owners, were so cheery and friendly as well. The coffee shops entire atmosphere was just homey and cheery feeling! You feel good walking in and even better walking out I absolutely love when you walk into a coffee shop and get this greeting and vibe. It makes the coffee even better! The shop was cozy, super clean and just a really nice experience. I have been to many chain coffee shops, and this shop here can stand up and take a bow....their coffee was so delicious that they could give a top chain shop a run for their money!!!!! In my opinion, they would leave them in the dust. I had the Brown Sugar Latte and it was made perfectly from taste to flavor to temperature. It wasn't too sweet and I could actually taste the coffee. My husband had the sweet green peach tea that was very good! So peachy and perfectly sweetened with just the right amount of ice! We also bought a peanut butter cookie, chocolate chip cookie and a coconut fried pie, all of which were made in house and we're to be saved for the last leg of our trip tomorrow. Well....we ate them. We meant to just take a little bite from each to try them so I could write my review. Well....we couldn't stop eating them...they are gone...all of it was gone within about 15 or 20 miles from the coffee shop. Talk about delicious! The coconut pie was so good. It wasn't overly sweet. It was actually perfect ratios of everything! If we weren't in a time scrunch, I would have turned around to get more to toss in freezer. The chocolate chip cookie and peanut butter cookie were flavors of homemade. They too were amazing and delicious...and big! The only problem I had with this visit was me not getting extras to take home! I did grab a bag of their in house roasted wizard blend coffee for my son, but not sure I will actually give to him. 🫣 I would also like to note, all of this was under $30 dollars! The staff are awesome people. They are friendly, good memories, and professional. They care about their product, and the customer's enjoyment of the product. They will give suggestion, or provide extra care if needex. The fried pies are grand, and the price is excellent. I think the savory lunch time pies are the best ones, but really any of them are great. I prefer their chocolate chip cookies, the size to price ratio is on par with other places, but the quality is up there. The peanut butter is good. The hot chocolate is quite good. If you drink straight away is good, if you put it in the fridge and later warm it up it is good. The only issue I have is the south part of their parking lot is a little rough. 20/12/21 The muffins are awesome. The staff are still super excellent. WOW! My first visit to the brick and mortar shop. Inside the shop is so cute! I loved the coffee bean bags and the Scrabble Wall. Lots of room to visit with friends. A cute bar to sit at if you'd like. I'll be 60 this year, so I'm an old fashioned plain hot coffee drinker. Extra cream, extra sugar kind of girl. NO flavors! I tasted my old fashioned hot coffee just now and OMG. So good. I may even make this my Friday morning ritual!? AND, I may even try some flavors. I'll have to Google all the other things they offer like lattes and macchiatos and espresso. Stop in if you're traveling on 84 in Post, TX. You will be pleasantly surprised at this small town coffee shop ❤️ PS - the muffins are yummy and made fresh on site.

Edit - I purchased the French Press Coffee Maker and love it. Took a bit to get the measurements and brewing time the way I like it. Definitely...
