Although it does look like it might get packed and a great spot for events and such they might have…the flies are just disgusting. I couldn’t even take a bite of my food without them pestering or going on the food or the table or on someone. They are also HUGE. They gave us a candle that is supposed to keep them away but it literally did nothing. They have flames all around to keep them out but there were no fans on while I went with my family and if the were on, they were pointed away from the tables. The flames were also really high by the entrance that my cousins shirt got some ash on it. We went on a Sunday for an early dinner and it was pretty much empty with just us and another family of 3 there. I’m not a huge fan of steak so I ordered the chicken and it was really good. They do use a lot of oil so just keep that in mind in case you don’t like oily food. Now for the steak…I’m not sure if it comes fresh because my boyfriend wanted to order his steak medium and they said they only do medium well…does that mean the steak is already cooked and you just heat it up on the grill?? Why aren’t you allowed to order meat the temperature you’d like? Is the meat fresh or does all the food come prepared and is just reheated? All of this just for the steak to come to our table well done. Then we wanted to order certain things on the menu and they weren’t available..same with the drinks! The waitress didn’t understand good English and even though I’m bilingual my boyfriend isn’t. He tried to order tap water and the waitress said she didn’t have water. Then came back with water bottles and charged us for it. Now, I don’t mind skimpy clothing in restaurants but those pants they make the girls wear..they might as well not wear pants because they were see through!! It was overall just a weird and confusing experience. The price was like $80-150 for 5 people and for them to give you disposable utensils and plates and have porta potty style bathrooms, is just a bit overpriced. I’d expect to pay that in a restaurant setting but not in a hot ranch with no fans and a bunch of disgusting flies. It may work for some but it wasn’t a great...
Read moreOn Saturday, March 8th, International Women’s Day, I decided to visit Toro Loco Ranch because I enjoy their food. However, the experience fell far short of expectations. I arrived at approximately 5:17 p.m., and from that moment, I had to wait in a long line just to get a table. We were finally seated at table 23 around 7:00 p.m., after almost two hours of waiting.
During our visit, I had to get up three times to request our drinks because they were not brought to us promptly. This was especially frustrating because I was accompanied by my family, work colleagues, and, notably, a pregnant friend, a fact I specifically mentioned to the manager, Jessica, when she offered to assist us.
At first, the manager seemed willing to help, assuring us she would assign someone to take special care of our table. However, after placing our order, our food did not arrive until 8:40 p.m., which was one hour and forty minutes after we were seated. To make matters worse, everyone received their meals except me. When I complained, they finally brought my order—a chicken dish—but it was cold. Furthermore, despite requesting water several times, it was not served until the end of the meal, which I found to be a basic service failure.
When we expressed our dissatisfaction to the manager, Jessica, again, she attempted to compensate by offering us promotional caps, her personal contact information, and even a $100 gift card for their Calle 8 location. However, despite her promises, we never received any follow-up or response, revealing a clear lack of commitment to resolving the issue and fulfilling her offer.
As a professional with experience in customer service, I found the service to be extremely poor in several areas: from the excessive wait times and lack of coordination to the failure to deliver on promised resolutions.
In summary, my experience at Toro Loco Ranch was disappointing—not only due to the mistakes in service but also because of the lack of genuine effort to rectify the situation. For these reasons, I do not recommend this place to anyone seeking quality service and a satisfactory...
Read moreI definitely don’t recommend this restaurant. They are not well managed, we waited two hours to be seated which it’s fine we were willing to wait. Usually when you have a long wait to sit down it means that there’s high demand and the food is good. So it’s fine that’s what we decided to do, but what we weren’t expecting is how rude our hostess was. She was cleaning the table with another waiter and my friend tried to help her by moving a chair which the hostess then looked at her and said “wait a minute” continued to put her hand on her to get my friend to move out the way and even rolled her eyes. We sat down and we had to wait to even get a waitress assigned. They were short on menus, my party was 8 people and we all had to share a menu. We ordered a platter that offers two different kinds of meat, they were out of chicken, no biggie we replaced it with something else. We asked them for the garlic sauce, they brought us two tiny things of sausage for 8 people and said “they’re refilling the machine right now” we never got garlic sauce for the whole table. But what put the cherry on top was that after willingly waiting 2 hours to be seated, we then had to wait 1 hour and 25 minutes to get our food after we had placed the order. And it was NOT WORTH IT. Their food is not worth waiting that long, trust me. There are other restaurants that offer the same food with much better quality and service! Also, the ambience inside the restaurant is extremely obnoxious, you can’t even hear yourself talk. The music is so loud, and when there was a birthday they would ring cow bells like crazy but the worst part is when they released smoke from the bull’s nostrils. SO loud, at first it scared everyone around and no one looked amused. I don’t recommend this place for people with young children or children with sensitivity to loud sounds or sensory issues. It’s more of a club vibe rather than a family friendly restaurant… The property is beautiful and has a couple things to do but the restaurant is very disappointing. Wayyyy too over hyped. Trust me, go to google and find other churrascarías...
