COCINA SABROSA — Restaurant in Providence

I didn’t even know this place existed but I had Taco Mania coupons and it was close so we went. Tacos weren’t even on the menu but I guess they added it to be part of Taco Mania. They were great! Nice chunks of meat, cilantro, onions, pico and even jalapeños. I’m a huge Tallula’s fan but these are close. Two tacos came close to filling me up (takes 3 at Tallula’s) but I still ordered a large Cuban out of curiosity and because I wanted to give them a little business since the Tacos were free (sort of). I’ve had Cuban’s all over the place with my favorite being at a small place in Miami but this was great! The bread was authentic Cuban bread. And it was pressed in La plancha like it should be. Good amount of ham, pork, cheese, pickles, mustard. Freakin good and big for only $12. Ate a 1/4 of it and brought the rest home. The place was relatively new and well decorated. Very clean. Seemed almost more a takeout place but plenty of room to sit and eat. Buffet counter food looked great and looking forward to going back to try more....

I been eating here since they open and the level of fresh and Quality is incredible always smiling workers and Live energy. You can tell they take the time to execute every dish. “Idk what Victor Knight is talking about can’t take him serious or his rating when he says McDonald’s Taco Bell Wendy’s and Dunkin’ Donuts has five star food when we all know it fake process food” anyone giving this place a bad rating can’t cook or never tasted authentic food The vodka sauce is amazing coming from someone that actually cooks every day at home. Not pleased with the service at all. Before I made my DoorDash order, I called the restaurant asking if they could please secure the food bag with tape/staples, etc. to protect the food from being tampered with. The woman said she’d do it for me and, lo & behold, the driver handed me my order in a flimsy plastic bag with NO PROTECTANT SEAL. The natural juice was even worse, he had it in his hand with no covering. I tossed the drink as soon as I walked away from the driver.

The pasta tasted so bland. The empanada was dry and they didn’t include the sauce, which I paid extra for! Never ordering...
