Dined in with a friend on Nov 27th at 4pm we ordered the Mattone Chopped Salad that comes with ham and salami I asked if I could have grilled chicken instead of the ham &salami waitress, Tina, said sure Salads came about the size of a soup bowl but it was very good. I had 4 strips of grilled chicken The bill comes and the $19.00 salad for me was $26.50! I asked Tina (my cousin by the way) why is my salad $26.50? She told me it was because I had grilled chicken, she also charged me for extra ham and I didn’t even have ham on my salad! I talked to the manager to express my disappointment not only at the hefty &7.50 up charge for chicken but asked why the waitress Tina didn’t point that out to me. When Tina saw me talking to the manager, she stood there and in a loud voice said “OMG! She’s telling my manager on me!” The manager said “ well when you add anything you have to know there’s an extra charge times are different now “ I replied “I understand that but shouldn’t the waitress have told me that? He said he’ll tell the servers to point out the up charge. Also as I was talking to the manager Tina came back with a revised bill and said “oh I did charge you for extra ham sorry” I told the manager I was very disappointed at this situation and that myself nor my family or friends would ever eat here again after the way I was treated here. I asked to see the waitress again and he went to get her and I followed, I heard her say “I don’t want to talk to her ! I’m not going to deal with her” Really?? This is how you treat your customers??!!! Tina could learn some waitress etiquette from Mary who is a first class waitress at Mattones, she’ll always tell you when there is an up charge on anything and how much extra it’ll be! Very upsetting evening! If I want to enjoy a good Italian restaurant with my family and friends will be going right down the street to Posto 31 ! Delicious food and wonderful caring...

We were there for an early dinner on a Thursday. The chopped salads were very good. They had a house dressing over romaine, feta(?), black olives, artichoke hearts, celery, peppericini, ham, and pimento (?).

My cousin had chicken Limone over linguini and spinach. The chicken breasts were flattened and lightly breaded. I had a bite of my cousin's chicken; I thought it was very good.

I had lasagna. It was a generous portion with good flavor. There was a nice amount of cheese.

A nice, crusty bread was served with our meals. The bread was served with butter and a bottle of olive oil. Our waiter offered more slices of bread when he saw we had eaten the original offering.

There was a bar but we didn't have any cocktails.

There are several handicap parking spaces and a concrete ramp that would make access easy for someone in a wheelchair.

It looks like there is an area for outside dining in appropriate weather.

The atmosphere inside is nice enough but not extravagant. It is essentially a single large open dining room. However, there is a separate dining room that I might use in the future for an upcoming private...

This place is a hidden gem. Starting with the service, they are top notch. So attentive without being annoying. Now the food. We started with the Arancini, I've never had this before and it was delicious. I had the steak sandwich, it's unlike any steak sandwich I ever had. This thing is huge, this can be split with two people. I think they make the bread there, it was so fresh. They warm the sandwich over a wood fire that's makes it the best steak sandwich I've ever had. My wife had the eggplant parmesan. We had eggplant parm many times at many different Italian restaurants and I have to say this was my favorite. My two young boys split an adult serving of spaghetti with Italian sausage. I think they make the pastas there because it had the perfect texture. The servings were plentiful, not enough room for dessert. Our bill at the end of the evening was $100 that's including two glasses of wine and tip which I wasn't planning on spending on a quick bite with the family. That being said it was worth every penny. We will without a doubt come back (Just me and the wife on a...

100/10 recommend dining here! This is easily the best Italian food we’ve ever had, and one of the best meals in a really long time. Our waitress, Alex, and the whole staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was so lovely, and just what we needed after a busy day in the hustle and bustle of the city. And the food! The food was divine. The stuffed mushrooms were out of this world, and could be a meal all on its own. The crispy stuffed chicken and salmon piccata were delicious, just make sure you save some of the warm bread from the beginning of the meal to soak up all of the decadent sauce from your mushrooms and meals! The kids pizza was so good, and massive! And Don’t skip on the drinks either, so yummy! Bottom line, if you’re thinking of dining here, think no more!

Good food if it's your 1st time, but for us regulars, it's not the same. I got a brisket with puree potato and broccoli to go, and you will see what it looks like in the pictures. Sadly, I was home when I opened it, and I was not about to drive back to exchange it. The shrimp appetizer was amazing. The regular pizza not to be confused with their wood fire pizza was good. The donuts and gelato tasted good. We took 4 of the donuts to go so we can enjoy them at home as well. The reason for the 3 stars on food is because their is no reason to get a meal to go, and it look like dog food with half the container empty. There was plenty of room, as you can tell, completely untouched.
