Small little restaurant in Lagrange, Illinois. Was busy when we got there! Typically very pleased with the overall experience, but in this case, we were not! The hostess, one of two women, was incredibly rude, an older woman, and although we had a reservation, the table was not ready when we first arrived! In fact, they did not even want to honor our reservation, made with OpenTable, this was so unfortunate and disappointing from the start! One of the entrees ordered was a pasta with seafood, it was not the best option as the pasta was overcooked, the foccacia appetizer and calamari were both cold by the time they were served, the fish entree though acceptable, is not an item we recommend or plan to order again! The only positive in the experience was our server Julian, who was friendly professional knowledge, who did go out of his way to make the overall dining experience a pleasant one! Although Julian was attentive friendly and knowledgeable, the disappointing reception sure took away from the experience, making it a disappointing and unacceptable one for the approximately $300.00 that were paid! I believe that a hostess who is the first person people meet in a restaurant has to be friendly and professional, and this person sure was cold, matter of fact...rude, on our way in as well as when we left! People have choices, experiences such as this one can surely impact a business in such a negative way! I don't know if this is typical behavior, but I sure hope the hostess works on her disposition, as her attitude is surely disappointing! We were not wowed this is not like any of the experiences we are accustomed to, maybe next time Posto 31!

We had the most wonderful meal! All of our dishes were amazing. The pasta was fresh and house-made that melted in your mouth. Drink recommendations were perfect. Our server, Ashley, had a wealth of knowledge for the menu items and drink selections. The atmosphere was modern and open without being pretentious. The staff, including the manager, made us feel at home. We appreciated their genuineness! Prices were fair. Portions were plentiful, leftovers for another meal. We ordered Bruschetta fresh and flavorful without too crunchy of the bread, Calamari that came with lightly fried lemon wheels šŸ˜, Brussel Sprouts with a zingy sweet chili flavor, Rigatoni with sausage sauce was fresh balanced flavors, Special of the day Caprese Risotto creamy and full of fresh basil flavoring with accents of balsamic, Gnocchi with braised Short Ribs and the pasta and meat melted in your mouth, Semolina Chicken with a side salad on the plate. We would šŸ’Æ return. Our hearts and it's were full from our visit. Thank you for a most amazing experience Posto 31!

Great food, wonderful service, elegant vibes. Wifey & I have been here 1-2x before, but dinner last night was to celebrate purchasing our first home together! To begin, we ordered the ricotta on bread, drizzled with honey & black pepper šŸž I spontaneously ordered the chopped wedge šŸ„— which was delightful with the thick cut bacon pieces & Gorgonzola cheese. To quench our thirst, a glass of ChiantišŸ· & a blackberry bourbon drink šŸ¹Entrees were short rib gnocchi (perfectly pillowly & savory) & the lasagna (huge portion)! Wifey wanted some bread to scoop up some sauce so we ordered focaccia on the side. I didn’t have any but it looked good. Lastly we cleansed our palates with gelato- vanilla & salted caramel šŸØ we definitely ordered a lot more than usual when we go out to dinner & our bill was less than I would’ve expected. There’s plenty to choose from on the menu that you really can’t go wrong. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, & quite friendly! Corina was our lovely server. We can’t wait to visit again!

I live around the corner from them and was very excited to see a new restaurant within walking distance when they first opened. I don't get to dine out as often as I'd like, but when I do I have no problem paying for good food, atmosphere & friendly/attentive service and will stay a long time doing so & return frequently. Seeing the manager hanging near the service station with what I'd assume was his "game face", was enough to make anyone lose their appetite. Not a good look, maybe his last table touch didn't go as planned?

Atmosphere is nice, the bar staff is friendly & attentive until someone they know enters the scene. Being an unfamiliar face one would think about "building a relationship" and solidifying a repeat customer. Even if they're one of two restaurants in La Grange Park, you'd think working on servicing your guests new and old would be a 101! It urks me to see opportunities wasted!

The truffle Arancini appetizer served with a super sweet cranberry yogurt at best, was unappetizing and the combination was way off mark! I read alot of the reviews just to get a feel of their "guest's" palates and I can understand how the Arancini dish would work for them; although the Arancini itself was very tasty, maybe the big guy in back should stick to desserts.

Potential is there, if they only lost the "Big City", or "Swank" attitude and actually serviced people... back to Service 101 like checking back with your guests 2 bites or 2 minutes? And some things definitely do not go well together even if you trying...

Really wanted to try Posto 31, and tried to order online. Website wouldn't accept online orders. Waited awhile and tried again - was able to get to the cart, but then received message, cannot accept orders at this time. So, I called the restaurant to order by phone and was told all orders must be entered online. I explained my dilemma with the website and representative on the phone checked with the manager who said no phone orders accepted.Seriously? They apparently did not want my business. Well, I guess I won't be giving them my business. Strange policy.

I appreciate the reply, and the explanation. And, I do understand. I really was a bit dumb founded. I wish the person I spoke to would have just said we can't accept any orders over the phone or on line at all tonight for some of the reasons you stayed. I would have been disappointed but understanding; instead of directing me back on line when she knew that really wasn't an option. But, like I said, I appreciate the reply and the explanation. and have revised my review. I look forward to trying at another...
