Young Prince — Restaurant in Proviso Township

Young prince has one of the best Gyro/Chicken Gyros i’ve ever had. they give you plenty of meat and the fries are cooked to your liking. I would recommend them for food.

My only problem with them is the service. I placed an order over the phone for a chicken gyro meal deal. I showed up to the restaurant, I paid and once I got my receipt, I noticed that she charged me for a regular gyro. I then asked the young lady if I was getting the chicken gyro that I asked for and she said “no the only meal deal for gyros we have is a regular gyro.” she then proceeded to close the window and talked with the cook. My assumption was that she was getting my order correct and after she handed me my drink and food, I drove off, and I noticed that she did in fact not give me what I ordered. I ordered a Gyro plate for $13.99 which includes extra meat, fries and Greek salad. All of which was put in one container. I've had MANY gyro plates and never have all that fit in one container. The gyro meat was the portion of a small gyro sandwich, which they had made like a sandwich with tomatoes and onions on the bottom of the pita bread and smothered in tzatziki sauce which wasn't good at all. it tasted sweet, the fries were cold and hard. The salad was probably the only good thing but in a Greek salad red and white onions are not included together......... Pick one people. I also ordered a belted burger which are not made fresh(frozen) for $5 no fries included. I would not recommend!! I usually take pics but I was so disappointed I just threw it...

We used to go here often years ago. We moved. Came back in the area and decided to go there and it was not good. I ordered the Italian sausage and it seemed to have been in a Tupperware type container for awhile as it was hard, shrunken and they barely put any red sauce on the sandwich. I asked for crispy fries didn’t get them. When I returned the sandwich I got a hamburger and that was just passing. The service was just ok. You can tell when the love is lost. Because even if you are serving fast food when you throw the love in and have integrity for what you serve your restaurant will be full. Young Prince was empty at 1pm on a Friday.
