Scoops of joy is new in pryor not a month old as of Oct. 2021....I saw the sign for it well in advance of opening.

The sign is clear and bright. The decor is straight old time ice cream shop. Don't let the decor fool you they have alot more than ice cream. I have now been in on multiple occasions day and night. The staff is always friendly very knowledgeable, they were patient with one of my sons who has a disability (as you readers may know) they answered all questions and let him be him so I found it to be a very inclusive environment. There are of course scoops of joy to be found we have now had several different flavors of ice cream and enjoyed them all with the strawberry being a family favorite. We tried and enjoyed the frozen banana dipped in chocolate. No less than 7 different Popsicles all made there in house. They have a huge variety of them from sweet to savory and regular to exotic like a mango chamoy(spiced sauce) one that my son really liked.

They have a very standard what I call ballpark nacho of chips jalapeño and can cheese. The peppers were really good. The tostiloco was very Mexican street fair food and a tasty variety of textures. But where this place shines is in the street tacos. 5 different meats were available along with rice and beans. The taco bar offered so much customization I was very pleased. The have horchata and other Mexican fruit drinks(jamaica) vanilla and pecan they are delicious. The huge variety of toppings for sundaes is great also....

Expensive for me really but it does have the best ice cream in town. 1 large milkshake was $7.25. 1 large Frappe was $7.25. 1 large float $6.29 Single dip cone $2.99. About $30 for 4 items. I ordered a large mocha frappe. It tastes like it has cinnamon in it but it's very good overall. I've ordered the large Frappuccino in mocha and it tasted basically the same as far as I could tell. Or maybe my memory is not that good. The nachos were an absolute no go. I really don't like the container being stuffed to the brim with chips like that. And I didn't care for the chips either that day. Not what I thought it was going to be. The kids taco plate is good. Both kids liked it. The root beer float was really good according to my son. My other one really liked the mint...

First time in, but it definitely won't be the last!! In addition to ice cream, they also serve a few entrees: Street tacos, nachos, and other things. (I'll have to take a pic of the menu, which is on the side of the counter next time we're in.) He got a double scoop of cappuccino and I had to try the Snickers... Both in waffle cones and they were both delicious! I'm already looking forward to goin again, and trying some food, then dessert. Maybe one of their yummy looking ice cream bars. A gentleman came in prepared; he had a reusable cold bag, he had her putting the bars in. Clearly it wasn't his first time. Lol

Edit to add v We want in and got street tacos today. There were...
