I had high hopes for Cafecito Rústico, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t match the hype—especially when it came to the food.

I ordered the coconut French toast, and I was very disappointed. First off, the bread used was NOT brioche, even though that’s what I expected based on the menu. The French toast wasn’t soaked or prepared the way it should be—it was basically just three plain slices of bread. Only one slice had any decoration on top (some fruit and Nutella), while the other two were just dry, flavorless bread. No syrup, and definitely no "coconut" flavor like they advertised.

The side of eggs was a tiny portion, and the "vegetables" they mention on the menu turned out to be just onion and pepper. Not what I was expecting at all. To top it off, they don't bring the food to your table—you order at the register and then they shout your name out for pickup. That’s fine for a casual spot, but when you’re paying around $25 for one plate and a coffee, you expect more.

I did bring my concerns to one of the staff at the counter, and she insisted the bread was the one listed on the menu. I politely disagreed, but the food was so disappointing I just ended up throwing it away.

Overall, cute place but overpriced and underwhelming. Not worth it for the food or...

This place is definitely one of the best breakfast/lunch/brunch places on Puerto Rico. It’s located right beside the highway and is very easily accessible with several parking spots located right behind the café. The staff is enthusiastic, friendly and really eager to fulfill your wishes even if they aren’t on the menu.

Now to the actual food. I ordered a vegetarian wrap which came with a variety of vegetables and a spinach tortilla. It was without a doubt the best wrap I ate on the island yet, and I ate a lot of wraps on Puerto Rico already! I also ordered a café latte which was delicious. Since I hadn’t eaten anything else on that day and was after my warp still kind of hungry, I also ordered the oat meal with fruits and peanut butter which was also more than delicious. The prices for the food and drinks are great and I am almost sure that you won’t find a breakfast place with a better value for money and more friendly staff around this area!

I can highly recommend this place to everyone in this area who wants delicious food for good money and a nice chat with...

I came with a group as we’re tourist. There were two doors to the building, an entry and exit. We went to the entry door and it was locked. When someone came to the door we told the person we were a group of three. He told us we needed to wait until someone left which we understood. So we waited. In the process we literally saw 4 groups go in ahead of us.....when we asked the guy what happened he looked at me like I had a third eye coming out of my forehead...long story short, we decided to place an online order so we could at least after we waited here 30 minutes and guess what? It’s all in Spanish. The online order process is not user friendly. This is a very poorly managed “cafe.”...

Made a stop here for coffee and breakfast while visiting PR. Overall we had a good experience. Coffee drinks were good and so was the food. The portions however are very small like most reviews mention. Small but tasty pancakes, very little egg, and the side of fruit wasn’t really a side, it was more like a spoon lol. The place is tiny inside so most of the seating is outdoors and they have no servers so we had to get up and ask for things ourselves. Parking is also slim to none.

This is a little breakfast place. Cute little hut with good options for breakfast. Their vintage decor adds up to the beauty. Oh the food was delicious. We ordered scrambled eggs with vegetables, coconut French toast brioche and veggie wrap. Every thing was delicious. The French toast was topped with fruits and was out of the world. Veggie wrap was our next favourite with some almond slices and raisins added to it. We would definitely go again on this trip :)
