Updated review ;Been visiting for 5-7 years and always had a good dish. This trip however I’ve been 3 times , first great, had octopus salad , second mofongo was not fresh and the sauce was wrong , too tangy and the cartucho chewy . Mojitos were great . Third time food was bland and the mojito didn’t taste as creamy and was a little off . Not sure if it’s a new chef but I’m not enjoying it as I used to . Also there were barking pets in the dining area. Screaming babies , loud music and screeching cars seemed enough for me but now another layer .i ama pet owner and they’re spoiled but I feel no need to impose my pets onto others anywhere and not especially at a restaurant or supermarket . Think it’s pretty selfish to do so.
Cheese with guava and curly fries were a bit over done . Fish , rice an beans where ok. My friends got mofongo and said was amazing . My sister got pasta and was also pleased . Coconut mojito was good , the view of the ocean excellent and a nice family...
Read moreFood was less than average. I ordered fillet red snapper grilled and it was overcooked and dry. Rice was undercooked beans were bland. My daughter ordered the skirt steak mofongo and it said 8oz, it was more like 4oz. I brought it to the waitress attention and she was not helpful at all and did not see what I was saying. As for the waitress Tamar, she looked lost. Took forever to get started with drinks. Two parties sat behind us and they ate before we did, they had another waitress. Another party of 8-9 people was sitting next to us and they got their second round of drinks and apps before we got our second round of drinks. Again different waiter for that table. Overall the restaurant has a nice view and nice appearance but it could be so much better. I will not go back there for food, maybe...
Read moreMy wife and I showed up for lunch today and it was the first time I had Mofongo on the island. Mind you I haven't had Mofongo for several years because mom needs to make it. I don't like the way they made it because it was the mofongo on the side with a type of broth to dip the plantain into with a side of fried pork. It was okay but it wasn't what I expected. I expected a ball of plantain filled with some kind of meat/ chicken or something of the sort. Overall it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't what I expected. Traditionally that mom used to make. They all did a good job. So the restaurant workers were great. It's just that I'm not used to this style of cooking. Being Latino against. Maybe I'm a prude but it is what it is. I hope there's a restaurant that...
