I recently dined at this picturesque Latin restaurant that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the charming ambiance and the warm, inviting atmosphere. Our visit to Hacienda Don Jando in Isabela was, without a doubt, an exceptional culinary experience. From the moment we arrived, the service and attention made us feel like family, creating a warm and special atmosphere.

To start, we ordered the alcapurrias, which I affectionately called "grandma's alcapurrias." And for good reason! They were as flavorful and authentic as homemade, a true delight for the palate.

For our main course, we chose the churrasco and the jumbo shrimp in garlic cream sauce with mofongo. Every bite was an explosion of flavor. The churrasco was cooked to perfection, and the fresh, juicy shrimp paired ideally with the rich garlic sauce and mofongo.

To culminate this memorable dinner, we experienced the crème brûlée. What a show! They caramelized the sugar right at our table, adding a theatrical and delicious touch to an already exquisite dessert.

My personal favorite restaurant as well as the most underrated restaurant in all of Puerto Rico.

FOOD: I've gone to this restaurant on multiple occasions and never have I had a meal I didn't like. The risotto is godly and the mofongo relleno de mero with salsa cremosa is so good Jesus himself probably cooked it. The portions are huge and the prices are way too low for the quality and quantity of the food they serve.

SERVICE: easily some of the best waiters and waitresses you can ask for, they are always happy, energetic and positive. Even though the food takes pretty long to cook and serve the staff is always interacting with you and they never cease to try and get you as comfortable as possible

ATMOSPHERE: the decorations speak for themselves. Even though the restaurant itself is very small, it has the most decorations I have ever seen inside of a restaurant. With a beautiful restaurant and a beautiful environment you can bet there is a beautiful atmosphere which constantly gets more and more positive because of the incredible staff.
