CASH ONLY LOCATION!!!! I’ve been coming to this place since I was in High School. My parents and I would take a drive and stop for a foot long hot dog and/or ice cream. This is a nice little eatery; the staff are sweet and accommodating. The food is good, reasonably priced! If you ever want to test your stomach limits. I suggest the belly buster burger! I am partial to their cheese steaks. Also their cheese fries are a must have! Mind you it’s all outside dining. You can call ahead and order from them making pick up easy. Across the driveway is their ice cream parlor. Soft custard is a summer staple. And they amazing flavors, ranging from the originals, to some more interesting ones. I tried the their creamsicle float! Omg delicious it’s Fanta orange soda with ice cream, hence creamsicle!!! Another must have! Definitely leave the crew a tip for their hard-work! I...

This place has been around forever. When I was a LITTLE ( 7 or 8 yrs old ) kid my family would go there, I'm almost 64. You have 2 little buildings, one was food ( FOOTLONG HOTDOGS, BIG BOYS BURGER the infamous BELLY BUSTER BURGER, STEAK SANDWICHES, miscellaneous other things like Fries, chicken of some kind I think. Cold sandwiches and more ect. ect. Water, sodas and ice tea ( home brewed, nice tea ) Now, the other building has all the sweet stuff. Ice cream, all the things one would expect at a custard stand. I always loved their homemade ( most of their frozen treats are ) Orange Ice ice cream. They have outdoor dining at picnic tables or takeout. The food there is not gourmet by any means but everything I have tried is tasty. Located right outside Salem, it is a great little Iconic stop on your way to or from the...

One Star – Never Going Back

I had to edit my review for here since last year. I rarely leave bad reviews, but my experience at Hudock's Custard Stand was unacceptable. I had this feeling a couple weeks ago when I went and decided to give it another shot today. Each time my milkshakes did not taste good and were not at all thick. The customer service was downright rude — staff acted like serving customers was a burden, not a job. Even worse, I witnessed extremely unsanitary food prep. No gloves, no hand washing between tasks, and clear signs of cross-contamination between allergens and regular orders. It made me genuinely concerned for anyone with food sensitivities or allergies. This place seriously needs a health inspection. I won’t be returning, and I’d advise others to think twice before...

Greasy spoon roadside food stand that has served locals and shore travelers passing through since the 1940's! The food is good and cheap! Only outdoor seating, which is fine because you're surrounded by FARMS and incredibly old tall trees. It is only open when the weather isn't cold. The opening and closing dates change each year depending on the weather. The folks working there are usually kids or the folks that have worked there forever. Plenty of space for your kids to run around and inspect friendly (keep your dog leashed like a good dog parent). A true Salem County staple. It wouldn't be summer without Hudocks!

My family and I have been coming to this NJ staple for well over 20 years. We come for the classic food that is always fresh and never disappoints. I myself had the Cuban sub, which was delicious and had a sweet tang to offset the meat on a crisp roll. As always, you have to stop over to their separate custard stand to get a sweet treat to top off dinner. I had the medium brownie sundae. My only suggestion to better this would be to have home made brownies, instead of Little Debbie's classic topping it off.
