Golden Bowl — Restaurant in Radford City

Ordered delivery, so I put Atmosphere and service at a high rating, because I can’t fully speak to this. However this doesn’t take away from the awful experience with the food.

I always order Crab Rangoon and Chicken Fried Rice to get a baseline of a restaurant, and I can honestly say this was a most terrible experience. The crab Rangoon tasted like fish, and was throughly undercooked and had no browning. The chicken had film of grease(I can only assume and hope) and had no seasoning whatsoever. The rice was the only part of the meal I could eat and I barely had any of that before I gave up.

My partner got the Tofu Lo Mein, and it was bland and filmy, there was no real depth to the dish.

I’m happy to give this place another go at some point in the future but honestly, it’ll take a lot to come back.

Tried a new spot today and OMG!!!! It might actually be preferred to my fav Chinese spot! Everything was spot on, sauces and cook was on point and clearly done with pride. Not to mention great prices!!! Got essentially 4 entrees, ragoons, 4 egg rolls, and 2 fountain drinks for under $60! Service was top notch too! Very polite and efficient, you could hear them cook your food after ordering; so fresh! When asked for plates so we could share around the different dishes, they brought us 2 hard plates and offered a metal spoon so we could serve around easier. We were just so impressed with it all. Service was what I would expect at a fast food restaurant. Order, set yourself, and wait for your food to be called out. Our food came out in to go boxes even after we were asked if it was dine in or carry out. They were pretty empty due to people mainly ordering take out. It was a calm, quiet, and relaxing environment. We ordered two dishes, crab Rangoons, and the Thai ice cream. The Mongolian Beef with garlic sauce had some mild heat to it.
