La Cabaña Mex Grill — Restaurant in Radford City

Driving through town and staying one night! Searched local Mexican restaurants and stumbled across this gem. I was going to ask some local workers from our hotel and didn’t. Funny enough…they went to the same place. Win! Such good food! I had Enchiladas Supreme for $11.50 (Beef, Chicken, Bean and Cheese Enchiladas (4) in red sauce, topped with lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream and came with rice and beans. Delicious! My honey had A la cart items…beef taco 🌮, enchilada raja (vegetable) and a tostada! Excellent also! No food pics…I forgot to take those. Valeria was our sweet, kind server. Great meal. Cute atmosphere. The college students love it…they kept coming in. Food was served hot and fresh! The exterior is an old Pizza Hut but it is dressed so cute you can’t tell. I lived in radford for a year, I recently moved to Colorado, I have tried over 10 of the top rated Mexican restaurants in the Denver area and I wish…WISH, It was as good as this one. I always get a basic order; beans, rice and a kids bean burrito. I am so particular about the beans and rice as it is my favorite part, all the restaurant here have has sh**y beans and rice. La Cabañas beans and rice was so good I lived off of it for the year. The white sauce was also fantastic and so were the tacos. I would recommend la cabaña to anyone living in the radford area. Not to mention the staff was always so kind to me and put up with my awful Spanish speaking, lol. This place is 10/10. When I come back to visit I will 100% be coming for...

We hosted a small party here for family, a group of about 10. We called ahead, and they were able to accommodate us in a short amount of time. The place is very clean and well maintained, although somewhat small. We had great service while we were there, although we were not there at peak business hours. Our server was attentive and made sure we were taken care of. The food is pretty standard for a mom and pop Mexican place, but it hits all the marks for it. ACP and chimichangas were both good, and considering many of the same ingredients were used for the other offerings, I suspect they would also be at least decent.
