American Deli — Restaurant in Raleigh

The inside of the store located in battle bridge was clean and the lemonade was good. I placed my order inside the store and waited inside the store for the order to be ready. I received my wings and they were extremely hard. I couldn't even bite into them and when I did the meat was tough as if they recycled cooked wings. I went to the counter and told the gentleman these wings could not have been made fresh and requested it to be remade and he told me since I bite into them we could not get a replacement. I bite into 2 wings and did not even finish the rest and only ordered the 5 piece. I was extremely disappointed I will not be returning. The store was not busy at all and the wings were not fresh they were tough and extremely unpleasant. Customer service was even worse because he knew they weren't fresh but tried to penalize me for trying the wings before making a complaint. The fries must be air fried or baked they does not taste good either for them to be crinkle cut I was extremely disappointed. These reviews must be fake!!!! The wings are hard and the meat is tough please consider any other option. I was at the location off Rock Quarry Rd! The price is outrageous compared to the quality...

Ordered through DoorDash, drink order messed up. Tried to call the store the first time the phone was picked up and placed back on the receiver. I called right back for a female to say “ Can you hold on” and the call went blank. I called back after being on hold and now the phone line is busy. I go to the store, hardly no customers are in the store and the line is still ringing busy. I ask for a manager/ owner and I’m told no one is there. I ask for someone in charge.. I’m told just 3 young girls are there running the establishment. One of them comes up and asked what’s wrong. I told her about the phone issue and called the phone line in front of her so she could here that their business line was off the hook. The girl at the register stood there looking dumbfounded..

I then proceeded to tell her about my 30oz sprite that I ordered, showed her the receipt, and gave her the 20oz drink I was delivered. She proceeded to fix me a 30oz peach fruit drink and apologized. Further evidence they don’t pay attention to what you order. I doubt I will receive a reply back about my experience as this was truly horrible customer service.

Today 6-3-2021 at 5:40 p.m. I placed a order for a #10 Steak & Cheese Philly with 5 Lemon Pepper Wings. I waited patiently up until 6:40 p.m. which was an hour later in which I still didn't have my food when there was a lady before me that asked the cashier what was that order she just put down and she said a #10 for Grub Hub; that's when I asked for a refund! I saw several people come in and order and receive their food. I saw Grub Hub/Door Dash drivers come in and pick up orders that had recently been called in all in which was unacceptable and unprofessional in addition to several orders just sitting there that had been since I walked in. There was a gentleman that had called in his order that had been waiting well over an hour for his food as well, in addition to several other customers. The one gentleman asked for a refund and demanded that his food still be given to him in which it was; I should have done the same. After today's experience I will not be returning to this restaurant. I would however offer some suggestions which is, STOP taking orders (call-ins ,walk-ins, Grub Hub, Door Dash ect) if you don't have the man power to get them out! Resume when you...
