Subway — Restaurant in Raleigh

First off, the man behind the counter was beyond respectful to every single person there. Even to the dude who was on his phone the entire time he was placing his order.

He was quick and went about my order to the tee. He smiled and was beyond humble. The man was a machine.

I asked him where he was from and he said with a happy tone "Egypt!". When I read these reviews which degrade this first generation immigrant, it makes me sad. We need to be more welcoming and understanding of what this man and his family are going through.

Btw. I got one of the simplest things on the menu. Meatball marinara. It slapped. He even offered me extra sauce without me even asking.

The cashier needs to learn how to use the scanner for payments and coupon codes. I didn't have any cash on me and she didn't know how do whatever on the register to allow me to pay by scanning my phone. NOT TO MENTION she did not want to scan and/or honor my 15% off coupon. It just leads me to believe that the franchise places feel like their losing something by giving discounts but clearly they're losing more. They're losing me as a customer. Then she charged me $19.90 for 2 cold cut combos with bacon..... this place must make their own prices because I normally pay around $17 for this. I don't care if it's just a few dollars. The tomatoes in the tray that is there for all to see had mold on them. I pointed it out to the one guy that was working there, he went to the back, got another tray of tomatoes and opened it up in front of me. They ALSO had mold on them. If you don't have the sense enough to 1) check to make sure the product you are displaying and selling to customers is presentable and edible and 2) check the backup product prior to presenting it to the customer that pointed out how your other product wasn't acceptable, then I just cannot trust you to prepare my food.
