My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Aromas Restaurant on Saturday, July 19th, with a reservation. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the clean and neatly arranged table setting, creating a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere.
For drinks, I ordered a Mango Lassi, and my wife, Chandima, enjoyed a Passionfruit Cordial. Both were served promptly and were refreshing.
To start, we shared the Calamari in Hot Butter Sauce, which was presented as a sizzling platter. It arrived hot, crispy, and attractively garnished with onions and red bell peppers—an excellent and flavorful appetizer.
For our main courses, we ordered the Chicken Koththu and the Mixed Nasi Goreng. Both dishes were outstanding—rich in authentic Sri Lankan flavor, perfectly cooked, and truly satisfying.
Having visited many Sri Lankan restaurants across the United States, we can confidently say that Aromas serves some of the best Sri Lankan cuisine we’ve tasted.

Read moreI visited this Sri Lankan restaurant yesterday and I’m still thinking about the food — it was that good! Every dish we ordered was packed with bold, authentic flavors and cooked to perfection.
We had the deviled chicken, chicken noodles, fried rice, and the absolute star of the night — the lamprais (lump rice) served on a banana leaf. The presentation alone was stunning, but the taste? Out of this world. The banana leaf added a subtle aroma that elevated the entire experience and made it feel truly traditional and special.
The deviled chicken had the perfect balance of spice, tang, and sweetness. The noodles and fried rice were flavorful, well-portioned, and comforting — perfect complements to the bold mains.
The service was just as impressive as the food — warm, welcoming, and attentive. You could tell they genuinely care about sharing their culture and cuisine with pride.
