My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Aromas Restaurant on Saturday, July 19th, with a reservation. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the clean and neatly arranged table setting, creating a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere.

For drinks, I ordered a Mango Lassi, and my wife, Chandima, enjoyed a Passionfruit Cordial. Both were served promptly and were refreshing.

To start, we shared the Calamari in Hot Butter Sauce, which was presented as a sizzling platter. It arrived hot, crispy, and attractively garnished with onions and red bell peppers—an excellent and flavorful appetizer.

For our main courses, we ordered the Chicken Koththu and the Mixed Nasi Goreng. Both dishes were outstanding—rich in authentic Sri Lankan flavor, perfectly cooked, and truly satisfying.

Having visited many Sri Lankan restaurants across the United States, we can confidently say that Aromas serves some of the best Sri Lankan cuisine we’ve tasted.

Congratulations to the team at Aromas! It’s a joy to finally have an authentic Sri Lankan restaurant in North Carolina. Keep up the...

I visited this Sri Lankan restaurant yesterday and I’m still thinking about the food — it was that good! Every dish we ordered was packed with bold, authentic flavors and cooked to perfection.

We had the deviled chicken, chicken noodles, fried rice, and the absolute star of the night — the lamprais (lump rice) served on a banana leaf. The presentation alone was stunning, but the taste? Out of this world. The banana leaf added a subtle aroma that elevated the entire experience and made it feel truly traditional and special.

The deviled chicken had the perfect balance of spice, tang, and sweetness. The noodles and fried rice were flavorful, well-portioned, and comforting — perfect complements to the bold mains.

The service was just as impressive as the food — warm, welcoming, and attentive. You could tell they genuinely care about sharing their culture and cuisine with pride.

If you're looking for an authentic Sri Lankan culinary experience, this is a spot you must try. I can’t wait to go back — next time, I’m bringing a bigger appetite and...

We’ve visited Aromaa several times, including for their buffet, and it’s truly a standout among Sri Lankan restaurants in the US. Having tried several Sri Lankan eateries across the country, I can confidently say that Aromaa consistently offers the most delicious and authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. Every dish is bursting with flavor, and the quality never wavers—each visit has been just as satisfying as the last. The variety on their buffet is impressive, allowing you to sample a wide range of traditional favorites, all prepared with care and attention to detail. What sets Aromaa apart is not just the food, but also the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive, making every dining experience enjoyable. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Sri Lankan food or trying it for the first time, Aromaa is sure to impress. We’ve never been disappointed here, and We always look forward to our next visit. If you’re searching for authentic Sri Lankan flavors in the Raleigh, North Carolina, Aromaa is the...

⭐ Delicious Sri Lankan Food and Warm Hospitality It’s wonderful to finally have a truly authentic Sri Lankan restaurant in North Carolina, right here in the Raleigh–Durham area. The food was absolutely amazing, we ordered the Nasi Goreng, fried rice, Koththu, and chicken curry, and every dish was bursting with authentic flavor and spice. The owner and staff were very welcoming and made us feel comfortable from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was cozy, the service was attentive, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and portions. I’m already looking forward to going back and trying more dishes on the menu!

A hidden gem in Raleigh! Our Seafood Kottu along with the Shrimp and Lamb Nasi Goreng were delicious. They rank among the top most flavorful dishes we’ve ever had. Dinner portions were large and we both had plenty of food to take home. Sherwin, the owner, is very welcoming and took great care of us. We highly recommend this place and we’re so happy we stopped by to check it out. They also have Sri Lankan Lunch Buffet from 12-3PM on Sundays for ~$25. They serve loaded chicken pizza, burgers, and wings, too.
