The Surprise Birthday Party that Happened! - Part II: Brixx Wood Fired Pizza

After a restaurant a few doors down gave away our reservation for 22 to another party without confirming, I was left holding the bag and had to take quick action.

I needed to find a close, available restaurant that could accommodate a surprise birthday party of 22 people on a cold Saturday night in 15 minutes!

I walked into Brixx and was immediately greeted by a smiling woman who asked "table for one?"

Since Brixx seemed to have a generous amount of open, inviting space available (although there were already plenty of customers there) and cheerful atmosphere (there was live music people were enjoying) I asked her "can you accommodate a party of 22 in a few minutes?"

She smiled, looked around the restaurant, looked back at me and said "we got you".

I cannot convey how grateful I am to Brixx Wood Fired Pizza for picking up the ball that the Mexican restaurant had dropped and running with it for the touchdown.

The staff at Brixx Pizza flew into action to accommodate every aspect of or friend's surprise birthday party! They even helped put up the decorations we brought for the party. Everyone at Brixx pizza from the waitstaff, bartenders, cooks and hostess were ON THE BALL and ready to accommodate us.

The food they provided our party was DELICIOUS and FAST to fly out of the kitchen.

Gourmet Pizza, an extensive bar menu and an atmosphere that already seemed like a party with the great live music provided by Brixx! (all songs you will know)

We will be returning to Brixx pizza! If you want to have a memorable party for someone that goes off without a hitch, I highly recommend Brixx pizza.

Brixx was able to accommodate our large party on the fly and provided stellar food and service and treated us like we were their favorite customers.

The pizza was fantastic but I would return to Brixx for the ambience alone. Great music, super friendly staff.

I had the Mexican Pizza, the White Pizza and some Sweet Baby Jesus Tap beer. Everything I had at Brixx was delicious. Next time I am going to try the pasta, meatballs and tiramisu!

5 shining stars to Brixx Wood Fired Pizza for saving the day with delicious food and cheerful,...

I live 5 min away and have driven by many times. Family and I wanted to try something new. We ordered online at 536pm today and requested curbside pickup. Two pies and wings. Pretty easy online order process and I even got a second email telling me it would be ready for pick up at 6pm. Cool! I have young kids so brought them with (hence curbside). I arrived at 6:04pm and noted they had curbside parking with reminder to call when parked so I did,m. Cool! So far so good. Girl answers, I tell her my name and I’m parked ready for order. She checked my name and order and said “ok great I’ll bring it right out”. Cool!! Easy…. We’ll thats where everything changed. I sat there until 625pm. Saw about 10 people pick up their food in meantime. Again first time ordering and 6pm on a Saturday so I get it, it’s likely busy. Decided to call again. Another girl answered. Advised ive been sitting waiting for curbside after calling from same spot at 604pm… the girl checked order and told me the wings weren’t ready but magically they were suddenly done the moment I called. She brought it out 20 seconds later and apologized while blaming her coworker. (I worked for many years during college and after at a pizza place so I try to always show love to my pizza brethren) I wasn’t mad and thanked for her help. I got home and sadly but not surprisingly the two pizzas were cold and stiff (likely sitting who knows how long for the wings to get done) and the wings were supposed to come with ranch but nope no ranch and the wings were over charred (one positive on the wings was they are real legit meaty wings). So congrats to me my wife and kids loved having their Saturday pizza night chewing on black charred wings with no sauce and cold pizza. I rarely make reviews online but I couldn’t not say something. I’m really disappointed and it was a complete waste of $40. My order number is 152448864 …. I’d like...

We sat down at same time as 2 other tables, in the same area of Brixx.  1 party had 4 people, like us.  Our food took about 45 to 50 mins to arrive.  The other 2 tables, ordered at same time as us.  Both other 2 tables ate their food, paid and left (1 table even ordered dessert) before we got our food. No one ever came to say what the delay was.  Then our food was delivered to another table.  We ordered a kids vegan cheese pizza and heard the waitress tell the other table they mistakenly gave their child a vegan cheese pizza. BTW that table sat down way after us and still got their food before us.

Food arrived and chicken on salad is served cold.  If I wanted cold chicken on a salad I would go to Chickfila.  The menu does NOT indicate cold chicken BTW.

My son's vegan pizza that finally arrived (I had to ask for his pizza after all our food arrived and no mention his pizza) barely had cheese on it. 1 slice had cheese, the other parts of pizza was mostly tomato sauce and the pizza was barely cooked.   You could tell the pizza was cooked in a hurry. Managers were walking around, but no one ever stopped to ask us about dinner. I would have shared our experience with him/her if asked.  What appeared to be 2 managers stopped at 2 other tables checking on people. I looked up after receiving our ticket and our waiter and what appeared to be a manager (or a lead person) were standing, peeping around the corner looking at our table and chatting.

We did order dessert and it was delicious!  It was best...

Overall Score: 5.8/10 – A clean and spacious pizza spot offering a decent menu and average food, but lacking an exciting atmosphere or standout features. Atmosphere and Service: 5.7/10 – The restaurant has a nice, new look with plenty of space, but the vibe felt unexciting and didn’t leave much of an impression. While the staff was polite, they weren’t particularly welcoming. The food took slightly longer than expected, though not enough to cause major issues. Cheese Pizza: 5.8/10 – A decent pizza with good taste and a bit of extra seasoning that added to the flavor. The cooking was fair, though the crust was a little soft. The price was reasonable for the quality, but the pizza didn’t stand out enough to make it worth a special trip.

first time coming to brixx and we had such a great time! we went on a weeknight and they weren’t busy. the staff greeted us and were professional and super friendly. the restaurant is similar to a sports bar vibe. nice bar that served food. we ordered beer, cheesy focaccia, and of course pizza! they have a build your own for $15 with up to 5 toppings which is a great deal! it’s about 11inches or enough to feed one person. i got shrimp, sausage, mushrooms, homemade mozzarella, and pepperoni. the dough was light and crispy and i easily could’ve eaten the entire thing. the focaccia was also light and airy with a nice garlic flavor. a better garlic bread if you will.

My friends and I all ordered salads. Pear and gorgonzola and the Brixx salad. Added chicken to one of the salads. The chicken was the good pulled chicken. Fresh salad, light and delicious dressing. Service was top notch and professional. Wish this Brixx had the pizza oven where customers can see it and enjoy the ambiance it gives like the Brixx in Chapel Hill. That would be a nice touch during the winter. The couple next to us ordered a pizza and it looked delicious. Will be back.
