Wow..wife and I decided to do a date night, with a 100.00 gift card. Sadly, for Outback, we will never return. First, guy at the welcome desk, he looked confused and mumbled, he's clueless, get rid of this guy as a greeter. He's the first impact with guests, bad for your business. It was a little less than steady, and plenty of wait staff. My wife and I were seated, we asked for a couple draft beers to start, asked for water as well. My wife worked in many successful food service establishments, she called out all the failures... we were not asked about starting an appetizer, and it took about 20 minutes to get a beer. Our server was very kind, that was the best part. I told my wife I was expecting a beer to arrive before our meal, I wanted to cancel this, just as was about to cancel our beers, they showed up 30min later, and the server asked what we'd like for dinner. Usually it's standard for server to ask what would you like to drink and can we start off with an app. Beers, what would we like for dinner, and we asked for a blooming onion. We placed our dinner order, all at once. Drank our beers, about 25 min in, some guy brings out a tray of food, with three meals, sets up at our table, and starts handing to us, we knew it was wrong, and we told him. The table across from us recognized as their order, guy packs it up, takes away, then comes back with the same food and gives it to them, lol. Our waitress comes by, ask them if it's ok, they're missing stuff, wrong stuff, she's apologizing....anyways, about 25 min later, we get our salads, guy says he's sorry for being late, 20min to follow, our food comes out. I got the sirloin, Alice Springs chicken combo. Worst ever AS.. I've never seen such a small , dried out piece of chicken from Outback. I asked for a medium rare sirloin, it was medium well... wife asked for medium well, it was rare. Best part of dinner was the salad and bread. During the meal, all we kept hearing was "I apologize, I'm sorry, would you like to speak with the manager?" Obviously there were major fires in quality etc to go around and no support. We saw the manager pass by our area, many times, quiet, lack of compassion and pride in his restaurant, usually, a great manager will randomly stop at tables for a second to say, thanks for coming in, is everything ok? And the like. The servers do not support the team, because the manager in indifferent and has no drive to keep patrons happy. Just apologizing all over and business as usual. Honestly we would have been better served spending 60 bux on the butchers for premium, fresh steaks , and cooked at home. This less than delightful dinner with two beers and a blooming onion was 83.00. We gave the balance on the gift card from 100.00 to the server. She was very sweet. We could tell she was pretty overwhelmed and tired of making excuses for the kitchen and bar. It REALLY takes alot to get a bad review from us, as we take many aspects into consideration. Outback managers....this was just the worst. Please consider this review wholeheartedly. We patronize many different establishments...we expect at a minimum, good service and quality food for the money we work for and pay for. I would very much, take the time and assess the kitchen, quality, timing etc. We live just down the street, we wanted to continue to enjoy and patronize our local Outback. After this, we cannot, and will not return. I can find comfort that we did not have to pay for this out of pocket tonight, it would've gone another way. You guys got lucky getting the 100.00 gift card. I do feel bad that someone had to waste 100 bux for us to waste it. Take the time to make small corrections now, so you won't have more...
Read moreMy wife decided to go here for her birthday. We've been to the Outback Steakhouse many times and never had a bad experience. Boy did that change today. First of all, the issues started right away. After ordering drinks we also requested water along with the drinks. My wife got water and I never did. The drink that I ordered was very simple. Unsweetened iced tea. What I received was an Arnold Palmer. Tons of sugar for sure and not what I ordered. Okay so maybe not a big deal. Things like that happen but it gets worse. The restaurant was not very crowded but it took about 20 minutes to a half an hour to get our meals. As soon as we started to eat we realized that they were cold. Not warm but cold. We immediately stopped eating and when the waiter came over to ask how things were, we explained that our food was not even warm. He called over a manager and the manager said that we would be the priority and that they would make us brand new meals and should only take 10 minutes. Max. Note that we ordered brussel sprouts as a side for my wife and they never showed up. So at this point we sort of wanted to leave but my wife was hungry and it was her birthday so we stayed and waited because she said it would only be about 10 minutes. 25 minutes passed and the food finally came out. Guess what? It was cold again. The brussel sprouts did finally come out and they were not only cold but it felt like they were in the refrigerator. They then brought another order of brussel sprouts which I guess they forgot they brought them out already. And yeah those were really cold as well. My wife was very hungry and almost in tears as we just didn't know what to do at this point. So we figured we'd box up some of the food as the brussel sprouts and potatoes were ice cold and so we left those. When the waiter came to give us our check, we figured there'd be at least a small discount considering we barely ate anything, waited well over an hour and had horrible service from the beginning. Nope. They gave us a full price check. So when I went up to pay, I just got really angry thinking that we barely ate anything and my wife's birthday dinner was basically ruined. The manager came over and I explained what happened and she offered a discount for the next time we came. I told her quite frankly we're never coming back again. After a few minutes she said she would discount the meal $35 which wasn't even half but it was something. Overall it was just a terrible experience. The food, the service, and just super disappointing. I don't like to complain but this was just not good. Years of going to this restaurant chain ended today. *Update to respond to Outback Corporate: your response to ruining my wife's birthday, serving horrible and cold food is as terrible as the experience we received that day. Terrible and cold food, terrible service, and terrible responses from...
Read moreJust Bad. Our 2 sons are grown, and one married, so we do early Sunday dinners out every other week to stay in touch but not intrudeâŠtoo much anyway. We chose Outback on Creedmoor we frequented when the boys were growing up but forgot that was when they were in their âchicken finger, grill cheese, French fries and ice creamâ phase. 5pm Sat at a back booth by the exit, the waiter was attentive and checked back often enough but not too often. Blooming Onion as App; Margarita Flight; Coconut Shrimp, Prime Rib, Ribeye, 8oz Sirloin w Shrimp and Chicken Sandwich. Prime Rib was chewy/fatty Instead of the Ribeye, Prime Rib was served and it was the end so was shaped like a slope with a 2â chunk of fat on one end. I pointed out the steak discrepancy, waiter apologized, offered for me to keep it free while they cooked the steak - I declined. 8oz w Shrimp was maybe almost a 4oz and medium-dry vs medium-rare. Chicken sandwichâŠ.they forgot the fries never replaced them. we just gave up asking. Margarita Flight was basically a $12 margarita, divided into 4 x 3oz-ish different flavors, two of which were kinda worse than meh, served on a boomerang đȘ: not good even as a novelty. The bread was good. This locale used to be doable - and enjoyable, a family thing. 5 people and $226 later, its not. âŠand now letâs wait for the generated âsorryâ AI response showing how much they...
