To the waitress at Willy McCoy's last night who didn't bother actually checking if my appetizer contained something I'm allergic to before assuring me it didn't and causing me to eat said appetizer along with an ingredient I'm deathly allergic to: you should be ashamed of yourself. You also need SIGNIFICANT food safety training. It would have taken you five seconds to ask a cook in the back if ANY of the ingredients of my appetizer contained the food allergen. You came back going "oh yeah, I guess it does have XYZ" all blazé after I started having a reaction. You do realize you can KILL PEOPLE like that?! I was fortunate that my family was there, and they had medication on hand to help slow the reaction so I was able to be there with all my guests for a while longer.
If you had even been remotely apologetic, it wouldn't bother me so much, but this is why I say you need to be retrained. Your actions literally could have killed me last night, and that is not okay.
So, PSA if you have food allergies, AVOID WILLY MCCOY'S, because they don't care if you live or die.
EDIT: yes, I asked beforehand about whether the food item I wanted contained the allergen. Yes, the food item was taken off my bill. However, when this was brought up to the waitress that I was having a reaction and she came back and said the sauce contained the food allergen, her reaction was literally "well we have over 100 sauces sooo...." I'm sorry but it is your job to make sure you are safely serving your customers. You don't need to memorize the ingredients in every single sauce you have, but it is your job to ask someone who does know then.
This establishment needs food safety training implemented ASAP before they...
Read moreI started coming here about 2 years ago. This is hands down one of my favorite local and family friendly place around. The staff is very accommodating. My biggest turn off when I'm visiting a new place for a drink or food is when the servers are so over the top friendly to the point where genuity is absent and their approach is completely transparent.
The staff here is genuine and friendly.
The third or fourth time I had visited, I had ordered a steak medium rare and it had been served medium. I'm not the type to let something so small ruin my night. About half way through my meal, the kitchen manager had approached us and had asked how everything was. I let him know I was expecting it to be a little more to my order and he not only apologized but had replaced the entire brisket even though I was about 3/4 of the way in. I thought this was more than considerate. I have been a regular since then and I have never had a poor experience.
I'd recommend this place to everyone and love to bring people who have yet to visit.
Thanks alot for the great food, service and relaxing enviornment. I feel welcome...
Read moreGreat food. Fun and prompt service. Way too noisy. Again!. Showed up a 5pm on a Tuesday for dinner with friends. Guys at the bar were very constantly and irritatingly loud. I’m guessing their macho loud mufflers on their cars, trucks and motorcycles have damaged their hearing so they have to talk loudly to hear each other! Too bad they feel they have to be the center of attention with their loudness. Unable to hear ourselves across our table without us also raising our voice level. Poor room acoustics also to blame as there’s nothing to absorb sounds. Food is always good and served promptly by friendly interactive wait staff. I will have to change locations to see if that makes a difference. Location is hard to access from the Eastbound off Hwy 10 and northbound on Sunfish lake Blvd. the city and county are to...
