I wish I didnt have to leave a review like this People have to know they are taking a chance eating here now. I have eaten here many times and food/service has been exceptional. After eating here 1.5.2025 around 3:30 pm. I will question if I will be back. The server/bartender was quite polite and very forgetful. We ordered quickly and waited close to 40 minutes for our food. A family showed up after us ordered, served their food, and finished before we were even served. Another family showed up, ordered, and was served their food In probably 15 minutes after ordering. When we finally were served our food the appearance was below average from other meals we have eaten here before. As suspected the food was not hot barely warm. My wife's and sons Burger was dry as well as my burrito. My son usually devours his burgers, not this one though. Probably sitting in the kitchen most of the time we waited. I definitely felt disappointed spending my hard earned cash on such unsatisfactory meals. It's too bad because we liked this place. We did not say anything at the time because we did not have another 40 minutes to wait for our food. I hope this does not signify a downhill spiral in food quality...

While in town, we visited this bar & grill three times. Each time, the food was good and the service was impeccable. (Kudos to E, J, K, and C!) Our last night in town, we bought shots for the staff.

We would have stayed longer (and spent more money), but a not-humane-small-minded-man walked in wearing a hat of a confederate flag with "REBEL" strewn across it, brandishing his overt racism. Other customers seemed to take no issue with it. That is why we left.

It is 2023. The owner is not white! And since this bar is near a reservation, neither are many of the customers, myself included (though I pass). The Mason Dixon line didn't make it as far north as Wyoming!

It is long past time to disallow overt racism in any establishment!!!

It's a nice place, but they need to 86 that guy and anyone else who is that hateful.

ETA: dropped a star for the completely VAPID response...

Last week we decided to drive from Sheridan after the kids finished baseball. Google said they were open until 10pm and we estimated we would be there about 9. When we arrived, our group of 8 was seated and served immediately. We didn't realize until later that the kitchen actually closed at 9 and the bar was open until 10. The food and service was great and the staff never once mentioned the kitchen closing or tried to turn us away even though it was obvious we arrived right when the kitchen was closing. After much disappointment with Sheridan restaurants, we will definitely make the drive out to Ranchester again for...

As we walked up, there was a sign that said "best food in Wyoming." I thought: that's a lofty thing to announce. Well, I can't disagree. Surprisingly. The Indian taco was awesome. They have this fry bread that's like donut consistency. It sounds weird, but totally works. The portabella fries with homemade ranch was the best thing we've had in Wyoming. The Mac and Gouda bites are probably second. The cowboy egg roll, jalapeno poppers, and rest were good too with delicious sauces. The only negatives are that they're understaffed, like most places right now and they charge you a few extra dollars for using a credit card.

This hidden gem is an excellent place to stop by. Julie was the best. The food was out of this world, and made exactly as we ordered without issue. If you have ever had a jalapeño popper, then run, don't walk, to the Buckshot for thier Jalapeño Popper Burger. The brisket grilled cheese my wife had was also very tasty, and she highly recommends. You will have no regrets. 😋😋😋

On a motorcycle trip with some friends. Immediately was was told needed a reservation for more than 7 (we had 8), was rude about it and didn't feel welcome. Was told it would be over an hour for food. Staff was pretty grumpy for being busy. Signage was hard to see from 14 missed it and had to turn around. Shoulda kept rolling.
