Got their food for the first time recently while visiting a local relative who has eaten there often. Had hoped there would be patio seating so we could eat onsite (COVID precaution); since there was not when we arrived (don't know if that's a seasonal/staffing thing or if we had been misinformed about it existing in the first place), we ordered takeout.

The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. They invited us to wait at a comfortable booth while ordering and while they prepared the food (I kept my mask on). They even brought us a complimentary chips and salsa as if we were eating in. They came by several times to see if there was anything else we needed and were very friendly throughout.

The booth was comfy and the decor was cheerful.

The food, when we got back to the house to eat it, was not just generous but fantastic. All of it. Chicken-avocado salad, fish tacos, carnitas quesadilla. Well cooked, lots of fresh veggies, tested great. And of course the chips and salsa. We couldn't stop talking about how good it all tasted.

I have never seen a carnitas quesadilla that was an inch thick in places. Wow. And so soft and flavorful.

Each of the ordered items was still delicious a couple of days later when we finished off the last of our leftovers.

My only complaint for any of it would be that I would have liked more fish in the fish tacos.

Not only would I love to go back; I wish they were near home because I would love to get...

My husband and I shop at Stater Bros all the time and never dined here until yesterday. We arrived around 10:15AM for brunch. The restaurant was already filled with diners which was a good sign.

We had a coupon for free table-side guacamole which they made for us right away. My husband ordered a shrimp and fish taco and I got the Chilaquiles with a side of Chile Verde.

I thought the guacamole was good but too heavy on the onion. My husband and I shared the food. I did not like the white sauce they put on the tacos; like a blue cheese flavor which I didn't think fit well with shrimp. The fish in the fish taco was very mushy and the consistency was very off-putting. We didn't even eat that one. I'm not sure how they cooked it or even what kind of fish it was, but would have been better if it were grilled or fried.

The chilaquiles were decent, but I've had better. The chile verde was moist and flavorful and is probably the best thing out of everything we tried.

With 2 drinks, our meal came out to $32.33.

We probably should have returned the fish taco or asked to exchange it with something else, but we were already full. I'm not sure if we'd return. On a positive note, the service we received here was excellent and they were very prompt in giving us refills, taking plates away and checking on us.

This place was amazing. Me and my family went here on Sunday, February 16th and were treated like absolute royalty. These employees, specifically our waitress, were filled to the brim with kindness and understanding. They were beyond helpful and served our food with excellence. We cannot thank them enough and greatly appreciate their efforts to satisfy their customers in any way shape or form. With our big family, we were anticipating a hiccup, but, no! These staff members are extremely good with kids, and understand and compliment them. Not only was the service great, but so was their food. With large portions and delectable dishes, we didn't want to leave! They also had a kids menu and were completely open to substituting foods for veggie options for vegetarian people. Finally, their atmosphere was also great. They kept the theme throughout their restaurant: parrots. There were painted and decorated chairs and decorations gracing your stay. They are also decorative for occasions like Valentine's Day. We were able to take home hers shaped balloons for free! The kids were very happy about that one. Overall, this place is just superb. The food, service, and atmosphere are off the charts amazing. We are definitely coming back. New favorite...

I had dinner at El Perico Ranchero in Rancho Cucamonga last night. What you see here is the tampiquena. It's carne asada with a cheese enchilada on top. It was delicious. They were pretty busy when we were there and yet the service was top notch. The servers were attentive and everyone who worked there was incredibly friendly. The chips and salsa deserve mention. The chips were fresh and the salsa was very tomato-y... just the way I like it. Their table side guacamole is excellent. I've had it twice before but no one else was interested last night. Overall, it was a great experience.

Excellent food and excellent service. The only negatives were the over cooked dry carnitas but Part of it was amazing, loved the flavor but 75% was overcooked and dry. I will give it another shot since all of the other food was amazing including some of my favorite salsa! The chips are ok nothing bad but nothing great. Wish they provided more salsa with the order of chips and salsa as we were out of salsa with only half the cups gone. The tostada, enchilada and Chile rellenos with rice and beans were all amazing. We will try it again and update our next experience.

We absolutely love El Pericos, it’s our go to spot for Mexican food. We usually go to the one in Upland, but this one is closer to us so we decided to try it out. The best part is the food is just as good as the one we were used to. Everything is always fresh, delicious and nice and hot! This location is much smaller than the upland location, so if it’s busy it might be harder to get a seat, but the wait would be worth it! A couple of our fav things are the table side guacamole and the margaritas (especially the Cadillac)!
