I was a regular customer of Bamboo Garden for years. A few months ago, the name was changed to New Jia Wang. Apparently, there was an ownership change to go along with it. I finally got around to trying them out today. I'm glad that I did. I ordered a lunch special to go. That included an entree (which I assume was a little smaller than a dinner sized portion), fried rice or steamed rice, soup, and an eggroll. I chose kung pao chicken, fried rice, and hot & sour soup. The kung pao chicken was delicious. It was savory/spicy but not too spicy. I noticed that there were mushrooms in it. I don't see that in kung pao chicken very often. I'm a mushroom fan so I thought they really added a little something to the dish. And... in case you're wondering, I think the kung pao chicken at New Jia Wang is better than what I was getting at Bamboo Garden. The hot & sour soup was very good too. It really hit the spot. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly. He took my order and told me that it would be about 10 minutes. I don't think it took that long. They were pretty fast. Overall, it was a great experience. I will definitely go back.

I ordered the chicken chow mein and a chicken egg fu young. The chow mein was seasoned nicely, however the noodles were sticky. The egg fu young comes with steamed rice, but for a $1 you can upgrade to fried rice which I chose to do. The egg fu young was a little on the bland side even with the gravy. Overall it was okay. I’ll come back and give it another try.

I just ordered from this restaurant on UberEats. First time trying & will definitely be coming in to try in person!

We ordered one Kung Pao Shrimp lunch special & one Mongolian Beef lunch special. Each plate was $13, came with fried rice or steamed, one egg roll each & one soup each.

Food was flavorful, fresh & they gave good portions! What I liked about the fried rice was that it was the perfect texture with each grain separated & not oily! Beef was very tender, shrimp was a good size & the Kung Pao sauce was delicious with the rice.

Thank you for the...
