Whether or not you are staying at the Ritz Carlton, you should give State Fare Bar & Kitchen a try. I recently stayed for five nights and have tried almost everything on the menu - you can't go wrong!

Food: Ingredients are fresh and locally sourced.

Ordered the Lobster Roll Sandwich with Fries for the first time. Chilled Maine Lobster, Roasted Garlic Aioli, Chives, on a Split Brioche Bun - this rich and delicious sandwich was perfectly served with french fries.

I have had the State Fare Prime Burger at least five times and I love it. Hopscotch Cheddar, Onion-Bacon Jam, Aioli, Arugula, on a Pretzel Bun - this tasty burger will leave you feeling completely satisfied.

Service: The hostess and servers, Genevieve, Crystal and Jonathan, who delivered the food and took a great memory photo, went out of their way to ensure a 5-star experience. The order was timely taken, we were seated at a table with a lovely view, pictured below, and the food was served timely as well.

Ambiance: Relaxed and casual environment, but you can get dressed up if you like - just make sure everyone in your party gets the memo.

Parking: valet parking only, unless you can find free parking at the bottom of Frank Sinatra drive and hike up the hill - it is literally a hike so I recommend valet parking.

I highly recommend this restaurant! Shout out to Genevieve, Crystal and Jonathan who went out of their way to ensure an enjoyable and...

A wonderful view of the valley from the restaurant. If you are here in the summer, it's nice & quiet. In just presenting facts- Avocado fries are to die for. Sashimi is good. You'll need to request wasabi if you enjoy it with your fish. The Caesar salad dressing has little flavor & the heirloom salad is mostly sourdough bread. The waiter was kind & eager to please. Upon paying the bill, they said my credit card didn't process so although I knew there should be no issue, I just handed them another card. After waiting another ten minutes, I started to wonder what the situation was so I called my credit card company. They said no charge was attempted. At this point the waiter came back & said they were having system issues & would get back to us. Lunch took about an hour then it took thirty minutes of waiting to find out that they still had no working system to charge for the meal. They wanted us now wait to sign a form to authorize the charge at a later time. All of that is fine but truly wish we didn't have to wait thirty minutes to do this. Kind of a let down at the end of lunch. I thought The Ritz Carlton employees...

I had the absolute pleasure of dining here recently, and I can’t speak highly enough of the experience—especially as someone who follows a vegan lifestyle. The chef went above and beyond to curate a custom plant-based menu, and every dish was executed with exceptional care, flavor, and presentation.

We started with the cilantro hummus—fresh, zesty, and creamy. For entrées, we had the jackfruit tacos and the curried vegetable rice. For the birthday desert, we were served three different types of vegan sorbets-so yummy. Each dish was top notch—made with incredibly fresh ingredients and clearly crafted with intention.

The service was warm and attentive, and the overall experience was thoughtful from start to finish. I’m incredibly grateful for Chef Janiece and the care taken to accommodate my dietary preferences without compromise. She made it a true five-star experience.

Tip for fellow plant-based diners: call a couple days ahead to let the team know your dietary needs—they’ll go the extra mile to welcome you with something truly special.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a refined yet inclusive...
