Overall a below average experience. The checkin process was very poor with Josue. We didn't get an intro to any experiences available during our stay. During checkin I also inquired about the club lounge and wanted to see it before paying $300 extra per day. I was told immediately nobody is available to show us. ||Josue also check us in to the worst possible room - right next to the restaurant kitchen back door and the room to our right is used for hotel staff going in and out. We watch them go in and out and they went right past our patio steps as the cut over diagonal as we were sitting outside and we would say hi to them as they passed. Josue did provide a complementary upgrade to a desert view on the second floor but we declined as we wanted easy access to the pool. But basically we see and hear people opening and closing of the slamming restaurant back door, dumping of the rolling dumpsters and garbage cans and our patio is facing one of the pools entrance doors as well. I think this is the worst possible room on the property and offering us this room while their occupancy was below 30% - I find it dehumanizing and treated as a second class citizen. Tucked away at the corner. ||The valet was helpful upon arrival and offered us waters. All subsequent visits to the valet I had to ask permission to get waters and grabbed them from the cooler ourselves. Everyone looked like they were miserable and didn't want to work. It was sad to see. ||We came back late one night around 9:30 and the night attendant didn't even acknowledge us. I had to ask where to leave the keys and I suggested should I leave them in the car and she says that's fine without taking her eyes off her computer screen. ||When we called the front desk after check-in the same evening to ask about specifics activities another staff member answered and she asked me to look at the experiences brochure and I told her I didn't receive anything at checkin. She seemed surprised and annoyed. ||She also had a hard time pronouncing our last name and she asked how to pronounce it but in a very odd manner and this made me feel as an unwelcome guest.||The second day I asked another person at the front desk who was much friendlier to tour the lounge and he immediately arranged for me to go up and the lounge attendants were waiting for us and welcomed us in and they were extremely friendly and even offered us something to drink. We declined but it was the first time we felt welcomed. ||On a separate occasion, we decided to upgrade to get access to the club lounge and we were asked to visit the front desk. Right before us was a couple having a nice conversation with the front desk at their check in and they were offered welcome drinks and received amazing service. When it was my turn, the front desk agent ignored me and didn't make eye contact the whole time and hence we were just standing in line waiting doe the agent to call us. Jim from the bell desk must have saw this and came up to me to assist. He called into the radio informing them of our intentions and came back out within 2 minutes with new keys. ||Jim called me up and there was still nobody behind us. I was standing at the front desk with Jim right next to the front desk agent who's still ignoring us. Jim even asks him for help with a menu for the lounge and he fumbles around for 30 seconds and Jim gives up. Jim apologizes and informs us that they'll have a menu at the lounge. ||We also visited the concierge who we were in contact with before our visit. The concierge wasn't too friendly either but at least they acknowledge that I was standing there. I just wanted to thank them and follow up on my thank you email I had sent which got no reply. They acknowledged that they received my message and after speaking to them I can understand why I received no reply. ||In the evening we walk by the front desk and I was hoping to ask for a s'mores kit. The agents who were available looks away as I'm approaching and doesn't acknowledge me. At this point, after how ever many negative experiences, I ended up too reluctant to approach as it wasn't comfortable. ||The pool service was extremely better and Erick was very personable. We wish him the best. Kayla was also excellent and extremely welcoming as well. I didn't get to know her as much since she wasn't our server but she was also excellent. ||Overall I felt like we didn't belong based on our attire or we were too young and didn't look affluent enough to afford any of the services so they didn't want to bother and waste time talking with us. This is the overall feeling I got. Maybe if I was more handsome, taller and Caucasian I would have a better experience. Next time. :)||Highlights: ||Madison at the club lounge though was the best example of what I've experienced at other 5 star properties and I think this location falls extremely short for a 5 star property. However, the amenities and hard products were top notch.||Room service was excellent and the food presentations were beautiful and delicious. ||Housekeeping was great and we really appreciated them coming in two times a day to clean up and turn down service at the end of day. They even helped us fold our clothes and properly put our kids’ stuff-ies on their bed. This made our kids so happy. ||The family pool service team had a lot of excellent people and they had to deal with the heat and a dwindling occupancy and hence cutting hours but they were still very positive. ||This place could be excellent with the right people throughout the entire resort and not just the exception. In its current state, you can still have a good time if you’re...

The name carries the promise of luxury and world-class service. But this stay at Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage went above and beyond, all thanks to Ruben at reception.||We were celebrating our anniversary, and Ruben truly elevated the experience. He greeted us warmly with a bottle of wine, chocolate-covered strawberries, and even a complimentary room upgrade! His hospitality set the tone for a beautiful, relaxing getaway.||Our room was gorgeous, with a breathtaking panoramic view of the desert and Coachella Valley. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we loved every detail. The drinks by the pool were excellent, refreshing, perfectly mixed, and served by friendly staff who made sure we were well taken care of. The food throughout our stay was top quality, and breakfast was a highlight: delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented.||Ritz also has a lovely boutique store with premium products. I didn’t plan on shopping but couldn’t resist and ended up with some amazing finds.||BUT NOW TO THE BIG NEGATIVE: THE ADULT POOL AREA AT NIGHT WAS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.||We were hoping to enjoy a calm and classy evening by the pool, but instead, we were surrounded by a group of intoxicated guests whose behavior was completely inappropriate for a luxury property like the Ritz. One man aggressively shoved a woman into the pool, and she screamed loudly in a way that made everyone uncomfortable. It was disturbing, not playful, absolutely not the vibe of a 5-star resort.||Even worse, in the morning we noticed multiple cigarette butts left behind near the pool. It was disgusting, and no one had cleaned it up. The smell was strange and unpleasant, and for a place that emphasizes elegance, this kind of mess is unacceptable.||Let’s be clear: just because it’s an “adult pool” doesn’t mean it stops being a public space. There should be strong supervision, especially at night.||Drunk behavior, physical roughness, loud yelling, public intimacy, and smoking by the pool, none of this fits the Ritz standard. It ruins the ambiance and turns what should be a peaceful retreat into a noisy and uncomfortable space. There needs to be better control, stricter policies, and staff presence at the pool in the evenings.||It’s a shame because everything else, the room, the food, the view, and especially Ruben’s service, was flawless. But this pool experience really disrupted our stay. If that issue gets fixed, this property would be perfection. I still give high praise to Ruben and the day staff, but please, management: tighten your oversight on the pool area. It matters.||Another disappointing aspect of our stay was the experience with the on-site steakhouse. We had planned a special dinner there but were told it was fully booked, with no exceptions, not even for hotel guests. Honestly, that was a turn-off.||It felt unprofessional and poorly managed, especially for a luxury resort. If your restaurant...
Read moreThis place is stunning! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Wow! We are just absolutely blown away by our experience at the Ritz Carlton Rancho Mirage and Spa. ||This was our first time staying at this property as we had just checked out of a waterfront Intercontinental Hotel that left us feeling extremely disappointed so we were truly looking forward to relaxation upon checking into the Ritz Carlton and they definitely delivered. ||The ladies and gentlemen working on the staff are friendly, warm, welcoming, professional and so hard working. From Nathaniel at the front desk for check-in, to Nico in housekeeping, to the entire staff at the Air pool, everyone was just on top of their game the entire time. It's impressive to see them in action, as they anticipate all guests needs in advance, and they do it with positive energy and a smile. ||We stayed in a spacious, beautiful, impeccably spotless and sparkling executive king suite with two stunning views of the entire Coachella Valley. We saw rabbits and road runners outside on our balcony and enjoyed the views both during the mornings and evenings. This suite was gorgeous, with one and a half bathrooms, rain shower, large soaking tub and two balconies with our own ultimate secluded privacy. The bed was ridiculously comfortable, we didn't want to leave. The accommodations were so inviting, we felt like we were at home, but treated to luxury at every turn. Highly recommend booking one of these suites, it feels like the epitome of luxury without the pretense or stuffy vibes. The amenities are perfect, the Diptyque products are divine, and the place smells amazing. ||Victor and the whole team are outstanding with communication, execution and over the top kindness. Across the board, all staff we interacted with offered the warmest hospitality we have encountered in many years. Much gratitude to Danny for his efficiency and kindness during our visit. He is a gem. Honestly, every team member here was unbelievably helpful and accommodating. I hope they all receive a raise, because they truly deserve recognition for their hard work. ||One of the special highlights of this visit, was the stargazing with Jesus and Frank. We were thrilled to learn about the night sky, stars and constellations and so grateful to safely view the sun AND the moon as well as several other stars and the space station. These telescopes and gentlemen were so fun, and they sparked such interesting conversation about the universe, and shared fun facts about the moon. ||Special thanks to Jenna at the spa who gave me an incredibly relaxing massage. The stress just melted away and again, I didn't want to leave. She is a delightful human, and the spa and gym are in excellent condition. The aesthetic in every area of this hotel is so appealing. The artwork lining the hallways and inside the residence is phenomenal. The design and spacious layout is perfect, and the location is ideal as an intimate desert oasis. ||There are also hot tubs and fire pits, although it was too hot for us to enjoy, so that gives us the perfect reason to plan our return again in the winter to enjoy these amenities. Warmest hospitality in years left us speechless with gratitude.||Thank you Ritz Carlton Rancho Mirage, you helped us find our new home away from home, and we can't...
