Golfer's Lounge — Restaurant in Rancho Palos Verdes

Two person party. Was asked drinks or dinner? Said drinks. Told to wait 15 minutes for the bar. Waited 25. 2 of the 20+ tables on the restaurant floor were occupied. Watched the hosts argue about seating us and then they took us to one of the several empty tables. Wait staff said it was a chaotic night on the way to the table. Bartender came to our table, we decided we wanted some apps as well so they took our food and drink order. Waiter came to our table after that, had to tell them we already had our order taken. Drinks came out, tasted pretty good! Food also tasted good. Bartender came back a couple times to ask if we wanted more drinks. Asked for the check, they came with the bill. Bill sat on the table for 15 minutes until we stood up to take it to the bartender so we could pay. Seemed like the bartender was made responsible for all of the bar customers, and customers sat at tables. Could be poor staff management from leadership, understaffing, poor communication, I don’t know. I was very pleased by the quality of service and food received on my first visit. Very uppity place, the service never makes you feel like you're beneath the ambience. Very pricey but very good. I split the swordfish and clam chowder with a friend, which both were absolutely delicious. We both had a glass of wine. And the bread basket was a surprise it came with an assortment of 4 types of bread, one which was addicting with it's toasted Parmesan cheese on top and asked caraway in the middle.
