Waffle House — Restaurant in Randleman

I eat here most every weekend for breakfast but my experience today was beyond poor! Immediately when the waitress sat my food down I noticed a small black hair on the plate with the bacon. I showed it to her and she looked frustrated (maybe a nonverbal that she deals with that often) but immediately took the plate back to the cook who said "I don't see a hair" she then showed it to the manager. They prepared me more bacon. My companion and I continued to enjoy our meal, then he was cut into his sausage and picked up a piece to eat and there's a hair under it. Needless to say he was nauseous and called the waitress and manager over. The cook yet again says "that's not mine" mind you it's a short black hair, neither of us have short black hair nor did the waitress but the cook did. The manager comped one meal and gave 10% off the other. I would prefer to have a hairless meal and pay for it. Needless to say nothing was said to the cook! Huge dissatisfaction! On a side note it appeared to be a ACC basketball party/discussion between the cook and another employee at the cook top. I would prefer not to have anyone babbling while cooking my food so they don't risk spit flying out of their mouths, most people don't think of this but I'm in the health profession and germs are if concern to me. Sat inside the restaurant for almost 20 minutes, no one in sight, yelled for someone in case they were in the back but still nothing. As we went to leave we pull to the back of the building where you could literally see 2 employees smoking outside around the side of the building. I went to where they were, Quinton immediately starting apologizing saying they had just walked out to smoke. I stated I just spent over 15 minutes waiting inside and that was a lie. We come here at least 3 times a week, we always call before coming but often don’t answer the phone no matter how many times you call. So we end up having to go there order food and wait for to-go. Went this morning with my wife expecting a good breakfast, but that didn't happen. Waitress gave me a go to hell look and a bad tone to her voice when I requested clean silverware and a clean coffee cup. Cooks were completely unorganized.People waiting to get a table, but employees were walking by dirty tables, standing in a back room, and just talking, laughing, and not doing their job. Ordered a waffle and hash browns. Got the waffle and waited quite a while to finally get the hash browns. But, by that time the waffle was soggy with syrup and cold. Gave up, went to pay, and still had to put up with the same waitress with a bad attitude. From now on, will just drive to a different location and hope for something much better....
