Antimo's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Randolph Township

This was our family go to pizza restaurant. My kids loved the pizza. However, we were completely disrespected today and won’t be returning. I called in my order of two pizzas and was told I can pick it up in 20 mins. My whole family was in the car since we were coming from my daughters dance class (three young kids (6,3, and 6 mos). We had to run to the store quick before so I knew the timing would work out perfect. Well I get to the restaurant and the two ladies behind the counter are hanging around on their cell phones. They look up and ask how they can help. I gave my name that I left for the order (it had now been 30 mins since I ordered). They start looking around for my food and there is nothing there. They even opened the pizza oven to see if anything was there and it was empty. One of the ladies said, oh I haven’t made it yet. She then expected me to wait another half hour for her to cook the food! My kids have already been in the car for over an hour so this would not work, hence why I called it in ahead of time. I asked why it wasn’t ready and she claimed they had gotten busy. However, there were no other patrons there, the oven was empty and the pizza being sold by the slice was completed stocked. If they were so busy, why were they both huddled around a cell phone chatting instead of preparing our food?! Also, my order should have started to be prepared ahead of anyone who walked in after my call, isn’t that how waiting in a line works? First one ordered gets cooked first? Either way, I wouldn’t have been so upset if they took responsibly for their actions, or lack of actions, and if they offered to discount the order for my inconvenience. I have ordered from Antimo’s with good results in the near past and was hoping to have a good meal tonight with my wife who just had a medical procedure. Unfortunately after waiting 90 minutes for my order, Seamless informed me the restaurant had cancelled the order.

Naturally, I called the restaurant and was told they had lost the ticket. According to Seamless, the restaurant reported a “menu issue” aka they ran out of some ingredients for my order. Not only was the restaurant dishonest with Seamless (and therefore me if I hadn’t called), but they refused to make me the food as part of a second order even though the Seamless delivery guy was standing right there next to the cash register. I asked why and was told because they don’t want to close later and already had other orders to fill. So not only was I lied to, I was told they couldn’t be bothered to correct their mistake.

I can not recommend ordering from Antimo’s any longer. You’d think, with all the pressure and devastation the pandemic is piling onto small restaurants like Antimo’s they would be willing to stay open another 20 minutes to correct a mistake for a repeat customer. Was not a planned stop for the Pizza Hunters App, Hunting the Best Slice of Pizza, but thankfully the Pizza Gods sent us to this amazing Pizzeria. Two women behind the counter in a Male dominated industry deliver great customer service with a great slice of Pizza. Using the basic formula for success with fresh ingredients, homemade pizza with Love. Every bite delivers great taste with homemade sauce, grande cheese and a crust that has been in the family for generations. This can be one of the best pizzas in Randolph in 2019, we shall see when the final ratings come out. Just look at the photos, this Pizza speaks to you.
