I’ve been here twice with friends and once with family and I have found the food to be consistently delicious. Although some may find the rustic style outdated or seemingly in need of a bit of pizzazz, I actually appreciate the coziness of the “lodgey” interior. Sure, perhaps a little tweaking of the inside wouldn’t hurt, but personally, all is well for me ambience-wise. There is always warm, fresh bread provided, as well as carafes of water, and the wine list is suitable. I enjoyed a Tia Maria coffee after dinner on one occasion and it was very good! I recommend the cannelloni and the short rib ravioli, as both are exquisite. I give ONLY THREE STARS because with service, I’ve found the experience to be hit or miss. I’ve either had a waitress who was amazingly friendly and accommodating, or a somewhat gruff and not-so-present waitress. I don’t want to have to throw the dice on what kind of service I’ll receive when I am out to relax and enjoy a nice dinner. I can see myself giving Casa another shot but it is not high on my list of priority Italian restaurants at this point in time, since there are other local options where I don’t have to gamble on the standard of...
Read moreWas there with a dinner party of about 20 people or so... liked the ambience of the place... one of the 2 servers taking orders was not very personable and seemed a little snappy... food was sub par at best (I had ordered veal parm for main course - breading almost tasted like it was stale and was covered in way too much marinara sauce to try to cover it up). Then came desert - trays with pastries and cookies were sent out - I'd had a cannoli which actually tasted rotten - I was seriously concerned about getting food poisoning from this, luckily, it only sat heavy in my stomach for a little bit but took the better part of a day to get that rotten taste out of my mouth 🤢). I was reading other reviews about this place after my experience and quite a few say that this place has seriously gone down hill... sorry to say that I agree with them... I wouldn't...
Read moreIt was a chilly January night, my dame and I were trying to decide what to do for dinner, after a little altavista’ing we found this place. Put some shoes on and we headed to the casa. Upon entering we were able to see all the waitresses as each one walked by so focused on their job they didn’t even realize we were waiting to be seated. When we were seated our waitress came and we ordered drinks and put in an order of mozzarella sticks, it’s not just about pasta at the casa! The waitress poured my cuh her martini in front of her and made sure she ordered her house salad before using the restroom. The food came and between the butter packets and my cheese tortellini with my sauce “tomato”, boy were we stuffed! We settled up our bill and promised each other we would return soon… bring a quarter too they have a...
