Doughboys Donuts — Restaurant in Raytown

4/20/24 Stopped for breakfast. People keep telling me they have all you can eat biscuits and gravy. $5!?

I thought it was good. Fluffy biscuits. Gravy and sausage was just fine.

Tried the new owners doughnuts. Got a big cinnamon roll. But it was more like a doughnut to be fair. Still good but...

Cons: My wife ordered the breakfast burrito and asked if there is onions in it. The owner didn't understand and wife asked again if there is any veggies in it. He said no. Just sausage, egg and cheese. When she bit Into it she spat out onions. I tried to explain to the owner there is in fact green peppers and onions in it he was confused. So his wife said shouldn't be? But they was both confused. We was just trying to explain they should know next time some asks, yet here I am explaining what we was trying to say in a Google review.

My wife hates onions and yet $5 wasted because someone else is making them they never had them? I'm not sure .

Best donuts EVER!! Had an unfilled long John...wow it was so perfect. The mocha coffee was delicious!! Friendly staff!!! Only complaint is they are closed on Sunday and Monday... I would think Sunday would be a great and busy day for sales. Really bummed when this last Sunday I had bragged to my neighbor and kids so we piled in the car to get these magical donuts only to have 2 disappointed kids and 2 disappointed adults. edit... I totally understand needing that family time for sure. Maybe I could just make sure to get them on SATURDAY mornings now I know the hours. I'm pretty new to the area and to be honest I had been to your shop 1 time (I was the one in the I need coffee and a donut sweatshirt lol) and I just didnt think to pay attention to the hours. My wife and I run a local European car club and we pick a new coffee / donut shop to have our club cars and coffee event every month. This month we chose Doughboy's and we could not have been happier. From the time we first reached out to the owner to give a heads up that we were coming to the time we met them and had the event, they were beyond friendly to us and incredibly accommodating. We had over 50 people attend this month and every single person raved about the donuts and hospitality. I had the biscuits and gravy and my wife had a donut and everything was absolutely delicious. I just can't say enough about how much we loved visiting and meeting the owner today who really welcomed us with open arms and treated us like family. This is hands down my new favorite donut shop in Kansas City and officially one of our clubs...
