Emingee's Fastnachts, Donuts, Ice Cream and Italian Ice — Restaurant in Reading Township

Today, while running errands, my wife and I made a stop at Emingees on the Hampton circle, a small business which had been established there since September 2023. Upon entering, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the establishment. My attention was then drawn to the three freezers filled with a variety of home-made ice cream and Italian ices. The selection offered included fruit flavors, chocolate Oreo, and a peanut butter swirl, which my wife highly recommends. The peanut butter used in the swirl is made on the premises. In addition to the ice cream, they also offer delicious fasnachts, cupcakes, and candies. They also have a variety of Vortex's, which are similar to DQ Blizzards, as well as soft serve ice cream. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about the homemade offerings. We left with two home-made waffle cones and a pup cup for my beagle. We all thoroughly enjoyed our ice cream. This was my first time here. I didn't know what to expect when I walked in so I was very pleased with the greeting of Good Morning from the people that were working there. I told them it was my first time so they gave me the list of donuts they could make and also gave me a tour of what they carry in their store. The owners ...husband and wife...both shared stories of their business which I thought was very sweet. I got to taste test a donut hole ...which was hot and delicious. She brought out fresh cinnamon rolls. I sat and ate one while waiting for my donuts to be made. These donuts are better than Ziggys...which is closed now in Hanover. The donuts taste average. I couldn't taste a flavor on a donut as advertised. For instance, one donut I tried was the banana foster. I couldn't taste the banana. I also couldn't taste the pumpkin in their pumpkin ring donuts. At least the andes milkshake is delicious. Other than that, I haven't tried other food or drinks to comment.

Usually when a donut shop opens, their donuts are already made. I do understand that limited staff and capacity may have to do with it.

I had to go to Facebook to find their phone number because it's not listed on Google maps, and I couldn't find it on their website. Some menu items were hard to find too
