No-Jacks South — Restaurant in Red Bud

Our waitress, who is also the co-owner, was disgustingly rude, unfriendly and just cold. She humiliated and mocked my disabled son, who has vision and speech difficulties. When I was away from the table, she told my son he was mumbling and she couldn’t understand him. He wasn’t able to see a to go box, which was placed out of his range of vision. When he asked for one from another employee, she “called him out” in front of a room full of people, asking if he needed another one even though she just gave him one since he asked the other waiter, almost laughing at him.

The owner later posted a video of my adult son and my minor son on social media. In it, you can see her asking him questions, assuming about the box, while he was trying to write his name on the check. Anyone can see, he struggles doing even that.

All that was needed was a little patience, compassion and understanding. My son was angry, hurt and embarrassed. We’ve never been treated so badly at the many restaurants...

No-Jacks South has become our favorite place to dine. We’re always met with smiles and friendly service. The food is excellent and the variety of menu options covers our cravings. They have created a welcoming environment to everyone that walks in. We highly recommend No-Jacks South to our friends & family and always say we’ll meet...

We love going to the Smithton location for take out or just to go a quick bite/drink. The staff is always very welcoming and the new specials they run always keep us interested in coming back! Couldn’t recommend this family friendly...
