Waffle Bite — Restaurant in Redding

I am a HUGE fan of crepes and over the years of trying several at numerous restaurants, Waffle Bite has nailed the art!

The sweet cream fillings are not made with cottage cheese like many elsewhere are and there are a ton to choose from! Recty, I tried the Elvis Prestly (pb, bacon, & banana). It was SO good! Sweet and salty combo. I also tried the macadamia, coconut, pineapple, which was also really yummy. Pre iously, I tried the lemon coconut and lemon blueberry. Both were delicious.

The service is truly great! If you didn't get your fill of coffee, you didn't go to Waffle Bites. Most times I dine at the restaurant, the owner can be seen mingling with customers and often offering coffee. The servers are kind and patient, as well as full of smiles and fun personalities.

If you prefer a savory breakfast to sweet, options abound. Maybe you really want a girls day out or need a little pick me up from the night before. Their extensive list of mimosas is unparalleled by any restaurant in town, by far.

The ambiance is mellow and provides a comfortable and relaxing place to sit and sip coffee and converse or just quietly and take in the day. The back of the restaurant offers huge picture windows that let the light in and offer a great view. There you'll find tables to accommodate your large group, complete with fun fairy lights and a bit of greenery. Perfect for a party!

If you came here and had a bad time, you didn't come here. Anything you need is taken care of. Did your server forget something? Just remind them and they'll rush to get it to you. They're busy and like all of us at some point, the toast can be forgotten.

This place is NOT what we expected. Yesterday when we went for lunch and there were just a few customers inside, the waitress led us to a dirty table, crumbs on top. First thing, I asked her to please clean the table. No problem, she did. We ordered one 3-piece SPICY CHICKEN and Waffle meal and a Cobb Salad with crispy chicken. We knew the chicken would take extra time to prepare, the menu suggested to allow about 20 minutes. 35 minutes later, I timed with my phone app, the chicken meal arrived, very, very well done. NOT SPICY but certainly dry. The 3 pieces were: a leg, a wing and a back that was nearly meatless. The salad was the biggest joke: ingredients stated on the menu that were missing or not as described were: NO Romaine lettuce (head lettuce instead), NO bacon...not even a whiff, NO avocado at all and NO tomato. Basically, just a salad with Blu cheese crumbles, head lettuce, feta cheese but tasted like cream cheese, the crispy chicken and a hard-boiled egg. A thick piece of lightly grilled bread arrived; bone dry. I asked for butter later. I don't know if this establishment is going under, if they don't care, if they think cutting corners will save them a dollar but this was unsatisfactory. We now know why the place had so few...

We have been here 2 times, and both times food came out cold. I think what they do is they wait until all the table party's food is ready and they serve them all at once. The menu is overpriced. Spent about $80 for 2 adults and 4 kids (total of 4 dishes ordered only to share). I ordered from the specials of the month menu and I never got it. They told us they were supposed to tell the chefs directly for specials and they forgot. Food took forever to receive. I ordered a hot mocha and it was brought out with the wrong milk I asked for. They took it back. Came back to tell me they had no more of the specified milk and asked what else I wanted so I settled for whatever they had. The server reheated the original drink that was made 15mins ago and brought it out to me with the drink looking all separated, which I know means it's been sitting for a while.

Service was meh. I said I would order 1st since the rest of my party wasn't ready and server told me she wasn't going to submit order until the whole table orders. Most likely...
