Cottage Inn Pizza Redford — Restaurant in Redford Township

Grab a seat and somethin to drink, this is gunna be a long one. I was in the mood for some pizza and bein security I can’t leave my post. This made it necessary to order a deliver so I get on my phone to google pizza delivery places. This was the closest place so I decided to call. It rings and rings without someone picking up. Not a great start. I’m debating in my head wether to hang up and try another place. I don’t like to wait very long for someone to answer the phone. About 20-30 seconds of ringing someone answers. The lady on the other line was chipper and polite. Starting to change my mood which is notably annoyed at this point. Anywho, I had taken a look at their menu online while waiting for someone to answer the phone. I found a delicious looking pizza that I wanted to try. I tell the lady I would like a 2 liter and an extra large deep dish teriyaki chicken pizza without sesame seeds and mushroom adding pepperoni and banana peppers. She gives me my total, I pay over the phone and am told 45 minutes. A bit long of a wait but that’s normal for around here. Her pleasant demeanor over the phone had at this point changed my whole view and I’m no longer annoyed. I tell her thank you, hang up, and go back to work. Okay, so fast forward 45 minutes. Delivery guy not here yet. I’m thinking to myself, this had better be the best dang ole pizza if the drivers late. Like I said before. I don’t really like to wait. Fast forward to the 55 minute mark. Deliver driver calls. He’s here. Y’all, I’m excited. I’m hungry. I’m 8 hours into a 12 hour shift having eaten 1 slice of leftover pizza for breakfast. The delivery starts off a bit rough. The box was already open a bit and was bending a good bit inside his warmer bag. The box was really tough to get out of his delivery bag. Took 2 people. I had to hold the pizza box while he practically yanked on the bag to get it out. He did show great con earn of the well being of the pizza. That was awesome. Now y’all, I can’t lie. I ripped the top of the box open and that first bite of pizza. I died. I literally died. That was. THE. BEST. PIZZA. I. HAVE. EVER. HAD!

I would recommend this place to the moon and back. Hands down the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. Despite the minor annoyances I had throughout the ordering process(mainly just the wait times), the taste and value of he pizza more than make up for...

Ordered through website, selected to order directly and not through third party app, received confirmation email. Shortly after was called by the store stating that "doordash didn't receive full payment and I need your payment information again." I verified with my bank while still on the phone that payment was taken in full, and was told "I don't know what to tell you I'm just telling you what they told me". So I asked to speak with who would know, and was placed on hold, and then hung up on. I called back and was then told that actually my order was all good and they were just waiting on a driver. When the driver showed, they were wearing cottage inn branded shirt and hot bag. I emailed corporate, and was told that this is a franchise and all they could do was refer my email to the owner. I then called twice over the past week asking for the owner to call me back, both times speaking with Camille the manager. I still have yet to hear back from the owner. Corporate told me that when using door dash, the store never will call requesting for payment info. Extremely shady, strongly suspect that theft is common here. Clearly upper management at this location sucks. We are waiting for our OVERPRICED pizza for 90 minutes now....(30 minutes past it's promised arrival tim. The place is closed now (even though they answered 12 minutes before the listed closing time that they were "closed"). I called at 10:48 to inquire about our 32.00 delivery as it was promised at 10:38. It's 11:10 and our pizza is not here yet...but theybare willing to take off 5 bucks. Really? This pizza was made 2 hours ago, pretty much, and 5 bucks off of 32 dollars worth of pizza that is now a half hour late is supposed to be something I should be satisfied with as a customer????? Come on Cottage Inn! Don't promise delivery if you cannot deliver. IF the pizza comes and I end up paying, cooperate will be hearing from me tomorrow. Not only will they lose money when all is said and done, but they lost a first time customer! Give me my Hot n Ready! Cottage Inn sucks. At least the one in Redford does. Don't Easter your time.
