Prima Deli — Restaurant in Redwood City

What is incredible, is that some people saying "food is fantastic" and marking shop as five star, and some saying "food is fantastic, but lines are long" or "food is fantastic, but they are too busy to take a call during lunch time" and mark two stars. Best place means busiest place. What did you expect? To swing by to the greatest deli ever at exactly lunch time and see empty room and employees sitting around bored? There are restaurants where you have to make a reservations weeks in advance because they are that good. Well, Prima Deli is that good. Expect waiting in line, or call - but ahead, not when you suddenly realize it is lunch time. Lunch time happens every day at the same time, you know. You want to warn about waiting during busy time - do it, thank you. Although vast majority of us are capable of understanding great things are harder to get. If food is excellent, leave five stares, be fare. Or go to another, half-empty three star place, eat there, and give them three stars. Be fare. I've been coming there for many years and am not...

Meat balls gave me and my friend food poisoning, and were treated poorly by management when trying to inform them of it.

Went recently with a friend, got a few sandwiches and meatballs. We both had completely different sandwiches, with no shared ingredients. My wife also got a sandwich different than us. Only my friend and I hate the meat balls. Later that evening, we both became extremely sick. Exact symptoms of food poisoning. Wife was completely fine, as she had no meatballs.

Attempted to call both that day and now today (2 days later), phone is off the hook and has been every time we tried. When we asked to speak to a manager today, we were met with rudeness and told there's no way we got sick from their food, it had to be something else...even though we only had that 1 thing in common we ate even all weekend.

Sandwiches were decent but to be sick for 2 days and treated poorly, would not recommend...

been coming here 27 years i think the older workers in there need to take a chill pill and smoke some weed. it wasnt too long ago this place was crawling with cockroaches, i would see them as i was in line, still ate there, but for one of the older workers to say “i told you not to let that THING in here” to a younger coworker who clearly is shy and soft spoken, because i had my toy yorkie who is a service animal and less then four pounds in my arms while i ordered inside is not cool. knowing you guys had roaches i still came in but you being disrespectful not only to me and my dog but your coworker/fellow employee, trash. foods...
