We've been coming here for over 4 years now, and the food and service has been consistently great. The portions are huge; we usually order the carnitas burrito and burrito bowl and it ends up being over a lb each! The quality is fresh and tastes delicious (plus it's healthy), and the restaurant is very clean. The owner, Juan, is a hardworking nice friendly guy and always greets us with a warm welcome. The location is convenient directly off 405 exit 7, with ample parking. Highly recommend this place. Stop by to support your local small business!

The former chef Juan just took over this location. The previous owner wanted to close. Chef Juan wanted to continue and keep his job. He's a really friendly guy, who cooks well and greets everyone who comes in. The fried fish is an excellent protein. Tasty crispy. They have a vege chorizo hash. He will give you extra rice, extra beans, cheese, sour cream and even guacamole with no extra charge.

On a previous visit, ordered taco salad that was delicious. Ordered the same today. Vastly different. Salad was meager in size, certainly not worth $9. See pics. Not sure if I'll go again. Definitely can't recommend.

Fresh food. Friendly vibes. And community connected.

The food? Fresh-fresh. High quality. The kind that leaves you feeling good — not just full. That hot salsa? It’s got that back of the throat kick. Medium? Just right.

But what stood out even more? The service. The owner knew his regulars like family. A young woman walked in — he hadn’t seen her in nearly a year. She’d moved to Portland. Her mom? Beaming. Said they come here because the food never makes her sick. Trust like that doesn’t come easy. She ordered two more meals to go.

It’s rare to see that kind of care these days.

I’m adding this spot to my go-to list — perfect for a mid-walk Sunday lunch or a quick build-your-own bowl. And something tells me… after a couple more visits, the owner will remember me too.

Let me not forget Diego, the awesome and engaging young man working with his uncle, learning the ropes, impressive! Don’t forget Diego, to check out n8n.io to continue working on your billionaire future! Trust me you will thank yourself in the future!...

Went here last weekend for lunch. Asked for a fish burrito and they didn't have fish ready, which is usual for TDM. The employee started to bake the fish in the oven while he finished my girlfriends birrito but, the oven malfunctioned so he spent a few minutes flipping it on and off before asking if I would be OK with fish cooked on the grill.

I said no because I was losing patience, that I would like to instead have pork in the burrito. The employee did not offer any discount due to the lack of available fish, and I was deeply dissatisfied with my experience at this taco del Mar location.

As they do not have the ability to cook fish at this location and are apparently unwilling to compensate their unhappy customers, I recommend Chipotle as an...
