Ok. So on May 7, I call this place to make a reservation for 4, and was told that the next available reservation for brunch on Sunday was two weeks out, but that I’d only be able to sit in the lounge. I asked when would the next date be available where I and my party could be seated in the dining room, and they confirmed Sunday June 2 (today is June 1). I just got off the phone with this place, returning their call to confirm my reservation. I also asked to confirm the dining room and was told UNFORTUNATELY, that I could only be seated in the lounge. NICE, HUH? So I proceeded to explain that I made these plans, postponed it a week until you could accommodate exactly what I asked for, and the answers I got along with empty meaningless apologies that rectified nothing we’re, “well these parties we have sitting in the dining room made their reservations months ago” , to which I asked, “well if you knew they were already booked then why the hell did you tell me I would be seated there”? I also made sure to explain that I knew my place in life, that I knew she was aware that I’m only a fifth rate human being and that those other patrons simply had more meaning in society than did I. I greatly appreciated how they made me feel. NOT ! When the person asked if I wanted to speak with the manager, I simply asked “for what”? Is she just going to apologize and do nothing as well? The answer I got was nothing could be done, and I asked for permission to end the call and stop wasting my time.
Well, 5 minutes later, the manager/owner who sounded 13 years old and proved she isn’t much of a manager called to cancel because of my complaints. Not once did I use any form of profanity, but I made sure they knew exactly how I felt about how they were treating me and my party. This person ( I doubt it’s the owner) stated that the person I complained to was a young girl. Well don’t put a damned young girl there in the job if a young girl can’t handle your screw ups. How damned stupid. What an excuse. My GF threw me a surprise 40th here at this location years ago and it was great, OF COURSE UNDER THE PREVIOUS OWNERSHIP. Nice job Wharf. Way to manage your business, handle your foul-ups, and make people feel as if they have even less people skills than you do. I would t even make an emergency stop at your restaurant to grace your restroom. Do the public a favor, place someone in leadership who is NOT your 13 year old daughter to make things worse. However, I bet you’re used to it. I doubt it’s...
Read moreI've been here twice. One for my baby shower and the other a bridal shower. Both times were amazing. Their food is delicious. The spaces for the showers were set up beautifully with a candy/cupcake station, and the service was great. The only thing I would like change would be the buffet. I'm not sure if it's an option but when you have a shower on a Sunday you use the same buffet as the rest of the restaurant, don't get me wrong, it's still great food, always plenty of food and its fine that way. However, having a private party would be nicer to have a private buffet. Both showers were on Sundays, and the place is ALWAYS jam-packed for brunch. So I imagine it's a lot easier for the restaurant to have it set up as one big buffet. I'm assuming any other day, it's probably serviced differently. The showers are in the back of the restaurant, so getting up to the buffet, you have to walk past peoples tables and wait in the buffet line (the food is worth the wait). My point is, when you pay a good amount of money for a private event, even on a Sunday, it would be nice to have your own little buffet and not to have to walk across the restaurant and walk back with plates of food while trying not to hit someone's chair or someone else trying to get up in line. It's not a huge place, so they may also do it that why for lack of space in the private party area. BUT, that does not affect my review because it's definitely hands down, a 5 stars all around. I wish I lived closer to Revere, I would be there every...
Read moreOn 9/7 my mother, wife and I stopped by for Sunday brunch and listen to live music. Everything about the visit was outstanding, from the girl that seated us to the girl that was stopped by my mother to request a menu to look at well we waited for a seat in the main function room. Our waitress was super nice and very helpful in explaining all their was to know about the brunch, and whether we can order from the main menu (which we could). The brunch looked and was so good, with a large variety of salad, fruit, and select meals from fish to beef stroganoff, and mussels in my mother's word, were delicious. The price in my option was reasonable at $30/person. The brunch hours are 11-2pm, around 1:30 a gentleman stopped by the table to advise us that the brunch will be shutting down, that gave my mother about 1/2 hour more to enjoy more mussels, however she already had 3-plates and none remained in the buffet. The gentleman that served the ham and roast beef kindly offered to ask the kitchen to add another batch of mussels to the buffet , which he gladly provide.
It was just an outstanding meal. I cannot forget the deserts, which theirs were many. When it came time to leave my mother was very full and had a full plate of desserts she could not eat, she asked one of the workers for box which he readily and kindly provided. WE WILL BE BACK SEVERAL MORE TIMES THIS YEAR, AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL THAT LIKE GOOD FOOD AND ENTERTAINMENT TO...
