We love it here so much #lunchdate #fyp #mexicanfood #Revere #Boston Revere, Ma Tulum Taqueria 📍

This isn’t my first time here, and today I stopped by for some Mexican food. The gentleman preparing the food is always kind and provides great service, which I really appreciate. I simply told him I wanted tacos and that he could choose any meat,it didn’t matter to me. I didn’t even ask for the price and ended up ordering 6 tacos. The total came to $48.29 for 6 small tacos, which felt quite high, but I didn’t think much of it at the moment. When I got home and checked the receipt, I noticed “Al Pastor” listed and wasn’t sure what that was. Since my husband and I live nearby, we decided to walk back and ask. The restaurant’s posted closing time is 8:30 PM, and we arrived at 8:15 PM. I politely asked about the charge, but the music was very loud, and I couldn’t clearly hear the cashier’s explanation. The gentleman staff member tried to help, but when I asked if one taco really cost $7–9, the cashier said “yes.” She then told me, “You can go hang out outside, we’re closed now,” and added that if I had further questions, I should come back to speak with the manager tomorrow. By 8:18 PM, the door was locked behind us even though the posted hours said 8:30. I still don’t fully understand the pricing, but what stood out most was the poor customer service. Price can be subjective. it may feel expensive to some and not to others but being dismissive toward customers leaves a negative impression. I’ve lived nearby and watched this restaurant since before it even opened, and I know how much effort it takes to build a business. I truly hope the owner is mindful about staff attitudes, because poor service can drive loyal customers away. And because of this cashier, one of those customers is me. I will not return, even though my apartment is just a 2-minute walk away.

From the moment we walked into this restaurant, the vibrant atmosphere swept us away. The decor, infused with colorful cultural touches, set the perfect tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The staff greeted us with genuine warmth, making us feel like family as they guided us through the menu with enthusiasm and pride. It’s clear this place isn’t just about food—it’s about sharing the heart and soul of Latino culture. The food was an absolute delight, bursting with bold flavors that danced on the palate. Every dish, from the perfectly seasoned tacos to the rich, comforting mole, felt like a celebration of tradition and craftsmanship. The ingredients were fresh, the presentation inviting, and the portions generous enough to leave us happily satisfied. We couldn’t resist sharing plates just to savor more of the incredible variety, each bite a testament to the chef’s passion for authentic Latino cuisine. What truly sets this restaurant apart is the sense of community it fosters. The lively music in the background paired beautifully with the clinking of glasses and cheerful chatter, creating a joyful vibe that lingered long after the meal. It’s the kind of place where you lose track of time, caught up in great company and even better food. We left with full hearts and a promise to return soon—this gem is a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of Latino hospitality and culinary excellence

Staff did not even know what a trompo was for the tacos al pastor? How can this be a mexican place and not have hot sauce?? Cholula?!! Small tacos, over priced, dominican owner clearly not knowledgeable on the mexicane cuisine. The lady working there never once asked me what i wanted she only asked and spoke to my husband. I ended up ordering a shrimp taco and she forgot it completely. We drove 30 minutes excited to try this olace and it was a complete dissapointment from start to finish. The al pastor tacos are nothing like they should be, its just dry pulled pork with pickled onions. PICKLED ONIONS !??? On an al pastor?? No pineapple? No moist marinated pork??? No fresh tortillas, just tiny dry 5 inch 6 dollar taco that makes your blood boil.Since there was no alcohol sold here i had no other choice but to sit there and watch my husband eat his dry tacos since they were made already
at least a margarita would have made the trip worth it but nevertheless
Looked at the ice cream cooler and saw a big picture of passion fruit artesanal ice creams, decided id get atleast a popsicle
. Cooler empty just had 5 sponge looking asian mochi ice creams. From start to finish, a disaster. Highly concerning why they would even think of claiming this place as a mexican taqueria. Basically chipotle but worse and pricier. No pictures as i was by then hangry, annoyed and disappointed. Dont even bother. No hot sauces other than cholula really should have been the red flag đŸš© the colombian lady who didnt know what a trompo is at the front register reaaaally should have been the official red flag. Them being out of carne asada tacos was definitely a đŸš©
all in all, bad service, worse food, but the...
