A half hour ago at 9:18pm(well an hour now) I drove to pick up/carryout a pizza I ordered online and payed for online. No problems with the pizza it tasted great, however, when I had pizza in my hands and was literally already starting to turn my body about to head out, the front counter worker waved around his copy of my reciept and said "do you want to leave a tip" And his tone was not as a question but as if he was entitled to some kind of tip for a 1 large stuffed crust pizza carry out. There is no obligation or expectation to tip for carry out orders. Everyone knows this, right, right?! Even do an internet search for the answer and you'll see that it's not a thing to leave tips for pizza Hut carry outs pretty unanimously agreed across the board. Like, if you want to disagree, theres the societal consensus on the topic as a source/reference. Not only that, as an employee working in food, you NEVER ASK a customer for a tip under ANY circumstance (carry out, delivery waitressing, cooking, bartending etc.). Period.
Hence why I chose to drive there, waste my own gas and time to pick up my pizza for the precise reason of not paying an extra $5 delivery fee + tipping. I don't really care to pay an extra amount that ends up being equivalent to "half the cost" of the literal pizza I ordered. That adds up. 13 dollar pizza -- 5 dollar delivery fee, min 1-2 dollar tip (VERY MINIMUM) you do the math pretty simple really
I don't know what his problem was like maybe I'm an attractive female and I didn't give him enough praise or attention when I came in or something who knows. But I was there to grab n go my pizza that I was not specifically "given service for" As in been waited on, had delivered, had a worker carry it out to me at any distance to my car etc. Had a massive order for catering, I think I made my point if it's not clear I can't help you it's pretty straight forward. I'm not at all happy with how I was treated if you can't tell and this is unacceptable behavior of the worker. I'm just not...
Read moreNormally we don't have issues with this Pizza Hut, but the other day, we ordered 2 large pan pizzas and 1 large house crust pizza with bread sticks. It was rainy, so we tipped the driver more than usual. When one of our kids came back into the house, we only had 2 pizzas and the bread sticks. I called to find out where our other pizza was only to be asked how they could help, me explaining the situation, then being hung up on. I called 5 times and was hung up on each time. I ended up driving into town to find out what was going on. I am not sure if this person was the manager, but he was not the kindest and complained to me that they were very busy and were running out of ingredients. I'm sorry it was busy, but that doesn't excuse the employee to be rude to the customer. And if you are missing ingredients, have the decency to call the customer. They made me a new pizza, but as I waited, the same rude person kept picking up the incoming calls and slamming the phone down to hang up on them. I walked out with the wrong type of crust I had ordered, but at that point, I didn't care and just wanted to get out of there. They have lost our...
Read moreTo put this short and sweet, my experience here was absolutley terrible. Ordered online to claim a birthday deal and when i got there, they ended up being a half an hour after my order time. I drove my half hour home and find that the pizza was undercooked, crust was doughy, toppings were NONE of what i ordered, and the wings i got werent cooked all the way through either. I got incredibly sick after eating just one piece of pizza and 2 pieces of chicken. Its like they just threw together a random pizza and didnt let it cook like it was supposed to and sent me on my way. Ive never recieved such terrible service at any other pizza hut and id expect the owner to do something about the employees working there. Lastly, there was someone handling the pizzas after they were cooked with bare hands and i watched them constantly pick their skin and scratch their scalp and thats very unprofessional and unsanitary. Eat here at...
