I really wanted to like this place but it did not meet the reviews it has. I called to place order and they said it would be ready in about 315 minutes. I show up on the 35 minute mark and the food is ready. The cashier is kind and super welcoming. We pick up our food and drive home and as soon as we open the bags, it smells like burnt. I ordered two shrimp combos and the rice was burn, you can clearly see, on both combs. So the rice was not eaten and it literally taste like burnt pan. Next, the fish tacos and shrimp tacos were 3.99 each one. I don't mind paying for food I will enjoy but these tacos were so dry and dense. They had not flavor, the salsas were good, I will admit that. The fries were soggy and there was just so many things wrong. I really didn't want to leave this review. The cashier and restaurant seemed so nice but sadly their food is not as good as their reviews. The rice ruined my whole experience, I kept an open OPTIMISTIC ATTITUDE but the taste test failed. I won't buy...
Read moreThis is a small Mexican joint located inside the strip mall next to the barber shop and Planet Fitness. It's been here for a while now, but decided to finally stop by after finding out the local breakfast joint was an hour wait.
This place was semi clean and not very crowded for a Sunday morning, which is surprising since they offer menudo, breakfast and other delicious combination plates. Today I decided to go with the red chilaquiles. The plate came with rice, beans, and a side of jalapeño Chilli but no tortillas. If you love tortillas like I do make sure and ask for a side of tortillas. The order comes with two home made tortillas, yes I said home made! Two tortillas is not enough though. The beans were decent and so was the rice. They also serve micheladas and a variety of other beer.
I can't believe I passed this place many, many times and never stopped. For someone outthere looking for decent Mexican food I highly recommend this place. Service might be a little slow but patience...
Read moreUnfortunately the service was not what we expected from a restaurant. The food was tasteless. I'm not one to complain about it. However I asked for chilaquiles with eggs and rice and beans. The chilaquiles where dry and the eggs where burned. I figured I'll ask for a discount on the eggs since I didn't eat them and they clearly look burned. But not the case at all.
We also ordered camarones a la diabla. Thus plate is know for the spiciness of the red chile sauce that on the shrimp. But the shrimp over cooked, covered in tomato sauce and tasteless.
All I asked the waitress for was a discount on the eggs since I did not eat them and you can clearly see that they where burned. However she was arrogant and had a bad attitude. I don't leave good or bad reviews anywhere but this time I had to.
Stay away...
