Odyssey Golf Foundation — Restaurant in Rich Township

The Odyssey is a beautiful banquet located on a beautiful golf course. The banquet has high ceilings with gorgeous chandeliers, shining floors and a very dedicated staff. The customizable lights really add an elevated feel, and the large windows across the room really open up the hall and fill the room with natural light. It is one of my favorite banquets in the Chicago suburbs alongside Dinolfo’s Banquets. The space is a clear canvas that really allows you to create your vision. The beautiful decor here by Flowers by Sprinkles was really complimented by the banquet space. We just had the worst experience in the past 6 years of coming here. We got married at the country club, go to brunch frequently and this was by far the worst experience we have ever had. We received sour milk for the kids, never received water that we asked for several times, never received the second coffee we asked for or the refill mimosa so thanks for the charge for endless mimosa, never received the high chair requested, had to constantly ask other waitress for help, waited 20 minutes for the check and we asked to talk with a manager who was not sympathetic at all. Nice course and lay out but my only gripe is the price. They give veteran discounts which is great but im not a vet and I went in with my buddies who were vets and I had to $76 for a Saturday morning and this course is worth $60 at best. Even though the tee time I booked online was $72. Some of the areas were pretty dry and like concrete on the ground and a handful of bunkers were like concrete with stuff growing out of them. And they had stuff being done in front of some of the greens. I love the course but the price makes me not want to play here when I can go 5 minutes from my house, get almost the same quality course...
